He just knows Cotto is too much of a ***** to fight him. Canelo is known for taking on the biggest fights, no matter the risk, even against the advise of his promoter.
I agree though, we all now what happens when Cotto steps up to the elite competition. Just like when he took a knee against Margarito, got stopped by Pacquiao, beat by Floyd and took an L. in his home arena against Trout, Canelo will beat that ass and take that middleweight strap. We all know if HBO was forcing the fight Cotto would be ducking Canelo again, much less GGG.

Cotto-Canelo is being negotiated for a date in November and a finalized deal is very close.

The World Boxing Council has already ordered the winner of Cotto-Canelo to make a mandatory defense against Golovkin, who holds the WBC's interim title.

Either Canelo or Cotto will be a big fight for GGG and will give him the money and recognition GGG deserves. Sanchez knows that if Cotto wins he will vacate the belt rather than fight GGG because Cotto has went back on his word before. However, if Canelo wins than I believe he will fight GGG even though Oscar De LaHoya won't like it. GGG will win over either one of them. Back in October GGG made the fight with Rubio to be the mandatory for the opportunity that Cotto got from the WBC to fight Martinez. When Cotto made that deal with the WBC he understood that *after one optional fight, he then had to fight the winner of Rubio/Golovkin sometime this year. Cotto made that deal with the WBC in order to get the opportunity against Martinez. Or else Martinez would have probably fought somebody else or fought Golovkin. *Now that Cotto has to live up to that arrangement he is not being honorable. He is backing out because he is being a diva. He fights Geale and doesn’t fight the winner of Golovkin/Rubio. So what does that say about Cotto’s word.

I agree also. Sanchez is giving us the straight goods. Sanchez knows that if Cotto wins he will vacate rather than fight GGG. If Canelo wins he is much more likely to fight GGG rather than vacate the belt.

GGG is hungry and as "untested" as he is, its too dangerous of a fight for Cotto.

There are too many unknowns in this fight. Has Cotto's last 3 fights been smoke and mirrors? Because his opponents were "handicapped" in some way, as some people claim. One thing we do know, is much of the old old Cotto is back. He is shop worn though, there is no question. His underated footwork and counterpunching is still there. He has brought some pop up with him, no doubt. His timing is still impeccable. Canelo will probably be heavier than him and is seen as a harder puncher by his fans. That power is in question as he has upped his competition level. He was knocking smaller guys that were blown up to fight him. As he stepped it up, he clearly has some pop but nothing to write home about. He does not seem to have backup game plans and doesn't adjust very well in the ring yet. If the fight isn't going his way to resorts to trying to bully his opponent. I think the key to this fight is whether Cotto can stay out of range and when he can't if he can take Canelos punch. I don't know about canelos chin being suspect as people are looking at a fight that took place years ago with the lesser cotto brother. I think canelo has grown since that fight, physically and mentally. Canelos ribs will be tested and if he's rather soft there, which I think he is, it won't take much power but I just a few well placed rib shots to put him on his ass. I am clearly rooting for Cotto, but I cant deny that the fight can go either way.

That is why Sanchez is hoping that Canelo wins because Sanchez knows that Cotto will go back on his word and vacate the belt rather than fight GGG. Canelo will be much more likely to fight even if Oscar De LaHoya doesn't want it.
