For pbc to be successful, they need to be the toughest matchmakers.. They obviously can't build stars, but they can put on interesting and compelling matchups...
I anxiously await the list of stars ANY promoter, TV channel or manager created within their first 120 days of operation. I'll wait. Feel like I'll be waiting awhile, but I'll wait for your answer.

You see a new GGG or Kovalev press release every day it seems.
Some of you guys super critical of PBC were the "are we there yet" kids when you was little. Beterbiev hasn't even fought for a title yet & Kov & GGG have been sitting on titles for a couple years. Plus Beterbiev just signed with PBC officially before his last fight iirc. Give them a minute. He's had two fights total with PBC & they surely got shown to the widest audience Beterbiev has had thus far in his career. If Beterbiev doesn't catch fire within the next 6-12 months with more fans I'd be shocked.

Crawford is right on track now, too. Say what you want about Arum and his company, but they know what they're doing.

Haymon really needs to figure it out or start cross-promoting.

Haymon has been doing this for years. He didn't come out of nowhere in the past few months. He does a great job getting guys paydays, but can't manage to turn any of them into stars.

LOL, but to some degree yea. The biggest thing hurting boxing is so many people who don't give a **** about boxing got their hand in the cookie jar.

Randomly I suspect at some point if PBC actually does succeed with their long term plan that they will be in business with HBO. If PBC & HBO joined forces boxing could actually have a elite level league, that could actually mean something to hardcore & casual fans alike, like virtually every other sport has & they could put the alphabet groups outta business & probably garner some changes with the commissions as the UFC seems able to do with the new PED policy. Centralized power is a beautiful thing. That said I think HBO Boxing is led by emotional & petty individuals who keep trying to put a square peg in a round hole with boxing despite times changing & I wouldn't be shocked if within the next decade they are outta boxing & promoting UFC or Bellator fights instead. That might be a crazy idea to some, but HBO's boxing budget has plummeted for...**** maybe a decade at this point. HBO isn't doing all that great with boxing like they used to.

Yeah but he has some extremely talent Prospect on the Rise who all those guys you listed could eventually be Sacrificial Lambs to which would then create even BIGGER STARS!

Fans are trying to create Superstars within 4 Months of business being open while Haymon contracts with these networks span for 2-3 Years or what ever it is. He has plenty of team to build up and develop stars. What Is The Rush?

I would love to see the Hungry Prospects get more TV Time instead of wasting time on guys who want to play it safe and not Challenge. If you don't want to step up competition go fight on Bounce TV or something but they shouldn't be on CBS, NBC or ESPN!

That's why Haymon is constantly stealing other peoples fighters, he doesn't know how to build stars. He doesn't understand the work that goes into doing that.

Chavez was a rating star for HBO, Haymon got his hands on him and destroyed everything top rank build in one fight.
                Yes this right here.

Haymon has been managing fighters for years not running a competitor to HBO, TR & GBP. He's been doing that for 4 months. Those are completely different jobs with different goals. It'd be like saying the new president of a movie studio hasn't produced a blockbuster after 4 months on the job despite being Ben Affleck's & a handful of other notable to semi-notable actors agent for a decade or so. Most of the guys Haymon effed with were already names to some degree & his job wasn't to make them stars it was to get them paid their value.

                    **** who's making Berto a star?

I think Thurman & Garcia still can be stars. Thurman in particular.

Broner seems happy just having mfers asking for autographs.

I think Broner's failure at becoming a star is more about him then Haymon or anyone else. Same for Junior. If anything Arum created a hype job that got brought down to reality after facing legit competition. Stars aren't made thru just winning fights vs bums, they actually gotta do some work themselves & I'd say Berto, Broner & Junior are all guys that failed themselves on becoming a star or even more simply were never talented enough to begin with to be stars.

Wow really? We're not talking about a newly created promotion with no experience. PBC might as well be an extension of GBP, they took all their fighters... Haymon was behind that and was also bts when GBP was on top, but he needs 5 years to build his brand... Okkkkkk

If PBC doesn't go anywhere, it's not because people want them to fail it's because Haymon didn't learn **** while he was bts...
