This is something Ward fans refuse to understand, he has no options. Ward gets paid $2mill a fight not because his fights draw that kind of money, but because RN are trying to artificially maintain his market value. Let them continue to do that for another year against nobodies on BET and even they will cut Andre loose.

And Ward fans keep saying Kovalev is an option - yeah right. Ward has no intention of fighting Kovalev, especially since it won't be a big money fight. Andre Ward will bring out his retirement speech before he ever fights Kovalev.

Here are Ward's options. Fight GGG at 164. Or fight Kovalev at 175. Pick one. Main events is negotiating with RocNation regardless of what Ward wants because RN will make a buck on Ward. Kovalev and Kathy have said the last few days the fight will happen, because they know RocNation won't give him a choice. They are not going to keep losing money on him to fight BUMS. Cotto would probably be ducking Canelo still if he didn't sign with RN. It's a BUSINESS. RocNation will make him fight one of these guys. If he doesn't want to make 164, move up already, he's 3 lbs away.

I want to see this fight. But fans are crazy if they think Gennady owes them something to move up for a fight he doesn't need. And at the same time give Ward NO criticism for not moving up and fighting BUMS.

Your whole post is nothing more than a presumptuous smear campaign , no facts , no figures . At what hourly rate has GGG retained your services ? Or r u working pro bono ?

All this smoke and mirrors about Wards limited options vs GGG's plentiful ones is just that, smoke and mirrors . What u load guzzlers need to realize is that their actually in the EXACT same predicament . Ward can negotiate a GGG , Degale or Kovalev fight . GGG can also ONLY negotiate WARD or Lemeuix next . Cotto WON'T fight him and Canelo wants to wait a while . outside of that , they can both find their next tomato !

Ward has not weighed any lower than 166 since 2006 and won't be able, under any circumstances, to get down to 164. Last month, Ward returned for the first time since November 2013 and stopped Paul Smith in nine rounds. That fight took place 172-pounds.

                LMFAO

So, the 164 demand was NOT a brain-fart from Loeffler.

This is what we all learned today.....

                1) the " dey be duckin me doe " statement..... is bullshht !

                2) the " anyone from 154-168 " statement..... is bullshht !

                3) Team Golovkin do not want to fight Andre Ward

                4) Loeffler is impulsive, and he reacts to comments/questions impetuously

But it looks like we can scratch #4.

164 was not a brain-fart, it was a calculated duck.

GGG is trying to get one of those fights, plus at least one unification like against Lemieux. Then I see him moving up to 168. If Ward wants to hang around that long and fight Smith type opponents, he's more than welcome.
                    Right.

                    So.....

Neither you nor Golovkin want anything to do with Andre Ward.

                    Got it ^^
