Just FYI I've been following Golovkin since 2004.

Do you know when his camp had the policy of 154-168? Let me remind you maybe right after the debut in US? It was 3 years ago. Right now it's not valid. GGG is ready to deviate from 160 only for a ppv fight. Why is it so difficult to understand?

Shut up with what? Not fight with Ward?
And I see a lot more Golovkin ****riders who try to defend every of his move and would suck on his **** 0-24 if he would ask them than so called "Golovkin haters".
Zero criticism = fanboyism and worshipping. That's a thing I really hate. Learn to criticize your favourite fighters too because what you guys do is pathetic.
You act like Golovkin would be the perfect human being without mistakes. Nothing is his fault he is always reasonable and if something bad happens to him it's always others' fault never his.
Grow up please, I assume you are not 9 years old, so stop worshipping perfect heroes in shiny armours. Golovkin is just as human as everyone.

      • About two years ago, Golovkin did state that he will fight "ANYBODY from 154-168"... and even 175...
Also about two years ago, Ward stated that he is ready to move up at 175... even at the heavyweights, eventually...

... But the times they are a changin'... So: now GGG wants Ward at 164... while Ward didn't move up at 175... (Meanwhile, Cotto holds the lineal belt at 160...)

That tells me they don't want the fight, which is a shame.
Well in fact GGG is willing to compromise the purse and the weight and the venue. How about Ward in this sense?

Why is it difficult for you to understand, I'll fight anyone from 154 to 168, his people last week were claiming that he'd fight Froch at 168, he already said he'd fight Chavez jr at 168 but Ward noooooooooo way, he's saw the damon wayans, samuel jackson movie. He's scared of Ward, and there is no way around it. #2 p4p is calling you out and you say no, but ill fight...everyone else at 168 but just not you....hmmmm i thought it was broken english but maybe he was QUACKING, just like the pac fight, if you put it in slo-mo, you understand better.

I sure I'm objective on GGG. Sometimes you have to have a pride and selfrespect, u can't let others to dictate you when they don't have such capacity. If Ward ducks now, but still continues to increase his marketability by at least fighting more often, while GGG will finish the business at 160. I'm sure there is now way they not gonna meet in a great bout sometime in the future.

NO!!! It is both. And although Ward did great in the Super Six, boxing is a momentum biz. Ward has lost his momentum and GGG has built up a head of steam.
If momentum in boxing is fueled by wins then KOs are high-octane fuel. 20KOs in a row see you race to the front of the pack. Momentum can be defined as everyone talking about you. For fans of slick boxing this must be traumatic but it's just the way it is in the wider world.
I'm a big GGG fan but I'm starting to think that he will be steered very conservatively from here on in to protect all the momentum he has, tv appearances etc. I hope I'm wrong.
