Why did Khan fight Algeri? What was the logic behind that

He had just been dominated and dropped 6 times by Pacquiao and was the joke of the internet..What was the purpose?

Is it just me, or did Khan look slower than usual in that fight?

Rhetorical question. Everyone already knew the answer when the fight was signed.

He underestimated Chris and somewhere in his deluded mind thought he'd dominate him more than pac did. Clearly he was wrong.

It was an extreme cherry pick gone wrong. The thinking was he'd KO Algieri, which was something Pac couldn't manage, making him "better" than Pac. It didn't quite work out that way though.

He fought Algieri because he was the easiest pick at 147 available.

              Yet he still struggled.

While Khan's masterplan of domination at 147 plays out, the rest of the division moves on without him.

              Amen to that.

LarryXXX killin em with these threads.

Khan fought Algieri because Brook is unworthy and because Algieri is a world champion. Or whatever nonsense he said when he announced it.
