This whole article is based on a quote from an unknown source. Is this the same unknown source who told Dan Raphael, a couple of days ago, that Ward wanted GGG this fall and was ready to accept all his terms, including the CW?
Not t mention these websites get payed by traffic, add views etc.
Click worthy headlines and drama/rumors = more $ for them. Real journalism = less $.

    • The thing people miss is moving up to 174, isn't really moving up for Ward. He is a Light Heavyweight. He boils down to 168.

He won his Olympic Medal at 178lb.
I've heard Ward's trainer state on several occasions that Ward only competed at light heavy because he didn't want to fight his friend and that he was actually closer to the 168weight limit when he won the gold.

I think girls like her forget that Floyd dissed Ward....then Ward made that SARCASTIC comment in retaliation to Floyd's verbal shots....I don't even know if they saw Ward's facial expression when he made that comment

They're reaching badly right now...Ward shook up Mister 164's whole world by coming back after being on the shelf for 2 years

Common knowledge... At those Olympics, Golovkin beat Andre Dirrell -- at the middleweights... While Ward won the last U.S. gold medal at LMW.

Ward's style is perfect for the amateurs scoring system. After turning a pro, he only added some grappling, clinching and accidental headbutts (i.e. rough house and good ol' style, doe).

He doesn't "bleed down." He fought at light heavy in the Olympics to prevent fighting his buddy (Andre Dirrell) in the Trials.

And than he ruined his career all by himself. He will fight few more cab drivers until fool Jay Z comprehend situation and stop feeding hype beast. There is no money to be made with Mr. Ward. No fan support with the money in their pockets.
Will he ever fight GGG or anyone at 168? No because fatso cant make it anymore. He is LHW fighter afraid to deal with the situation. Will he ever fight anyone with a pulse at 175? No since big guys will out-muscle him. All his career is made around the fact that he cant fight at his natural weight. This is no amateur boxing and late Mr. Goosen is not around to babysit him anymore.
Ward is a lot better than that, and beating him next would get GGG more respect within the sport than he would get for anybody at 160.

But unless Andre wakes up and does something with his career - and I'm not talking about beating somebody a division below his - he won't be remembered long after he goes.

And in the longer term, especially outside the sport, unifying the MW titles will do a lot more for GGG's legacy than a win over .... Andre who?

Thats nonsense, all of the fighters know each other from when they are kids, and they have all fought each other before. To say he didn't want to fight in the best weight class for him while chasing after his life long dream is just silly.

I buy it with the Direll brothers, obviously don't want 2 brothers at the same weight. But with Ward? HA

He is a naturally big dude, that like to pretend he is not.

"174" is not a weight class

Do you know anything about anything?
