At the end of the day, Stevenson's career is looking like it's in a stagnant pool, while Kovalev seems to be interested in a long, successful one. Eventually, I believe Kovalev & Stevenson will meet. If you want to put points on the outcome, I got the Krusher.
If you feel this way, then you should have no problem with Adonis finding a "home and success" on SHowtime last year. You are making no sense.

If you go by actions, like you said you did with Adionis, his actions should lead you to the same conclusion since Kov walked away from the purse bid he requested then resigned to HBO. If you will not call him out on it, so be it.

As for career, Kov is fighting a 45-1 underdog then he will rematch Pascal. So he is doing exactly what Adonis is.

Adonis is a bozo Dunn. You know he was running from Kovalev. The purse bid debacle doesn't change the fact that he's the one actually shook.

Duva requested that the WBC make the winner of Kovalev vs Pascal Stevenson's mandatory. She made the move because she knew that Stevenson was not under contract to fight exclusively on Showtime. She hoped that Michel would make the fight on HBO, where Kovalev is under contract. However, Michel has the desire to make the fight either on Showtime, or on a network that PBC works with, or so it seems. I believe that Michel really had no intention of making the fight with Kovalev, because he knew of Kovalev's committment to HBO. He also knew that his side with Haymon's investors would win the purse bid, which would allow him to name the network the fight would be televised on. And that network would never be HBO. Thus, Duva would have to pull out of the bid & Adonis' career could be milked a little while longer before the inevitable Krushing.

Yeah it ABSOLUTELY does. Not only did he not run away from the purse bid, he went to Kov's last fight. Seriously, what else should he do? Oh, yeah leave his money behind.

If SUbzeroed is only going by actions (he isn't) then he should at least be questioning the pulling out of the purse bid by Kov.

They both took TV deals to get paid and delay the fight to make it "bigger". Adonis never pulled anything like the purse bid crap.

Imagine if he or any AMerican or Haymon fighter did that?

You're a funny guy, Dunn. You'll argue for what you know isn't true until your last breath. Stevenson had already been put on the map & built up by HBO! He ran from Kovalev to what he thought would be greener pastures and more importantly, longevity. Do you think his status as a champion is better for it?

I believe you know what the purse bid was all about, but won't admit it. It was a strategic power play by Michel. You expected Kovalev to do whatever it took to make the fight with Stevenson, regardless of loyalties or contracts, so long as it pleased the fans? Neither did Michel.

Kovalev just beat Hopkins and Pascal, both whom Stevenson had a first shot at, but passed on. Now Sergey is fighting a mandatory challenger, yet you berate him for it. Start a poll asking who the bigger ducker between the two is. But you already know the answer to that.

Forget about Ward-GGG. This is the fight that everyone should be talking about.

I don't get why ggg needs to move up. He has every right to wait for the winner of canelo and cotto. What's ward waiting for. He's already cleared out the division.

I see. So is it your opinion the fight should be on HBO just because the Kovalev side wants the fight on that network?

                  LOL

If Kovalev wanted the Stevenson fight then he shouldn't have signed the HBO deal *after* asking the WBC to be made the 175lb mandatory. DUMB MOVE on team TOMATO KAN Krusher's part...

GGG doesn't need to move up. Ward's a recently extended-period inactive fighter, who's relevance began to fade in the prime of his career. What better way to jump-start it than with a win over a guy that most boxers fear? What better way to assure a win than by fighting a naturally smaller guy? Enter Golovkin, who might actually shock Ward & his supporters, should they fight.

I don't care what network it's televised on. I just reiterated what Duva stated. Again, why should Kovalev go chasing after a "fighter" who clearly ran from him? Because we want to see the fight? It doesn't work like that.

So, say you had a potential long-term deal with one entity which was about to be renewable, but were offered another short-term deal with your entity's competitor. Would you tell the group that you had the long-term deal with to screw off in favor of its competitor's short-term deal? Would you really want to burn that bridge and make that gamble?
