ward's rhetoric concerning hte kovalev fight couldn't be more blatantly twisted. he is not crapping on it, the way golovkin's people are crapping on the ward fight.

ward - kovalev isn't ppv yet. for it to make financial sense, it probabl yhas to be. golovkin - ward does as well, but that fight, based on the bscene reaction, looks like it would be pretty damn big right now. kovalev - ward is not that big right now.


the 172 catchweight was for a tune up. he had been off for a long time, and he and his people were probably concerned about the weight.


i'm hoping that ward - kovalev happens at the full 175 lb limit. if that happens, you can kiss the golovkin fight goodbye, especially if they want a 164 lb weight. guys generally don't move down in weight. it almost never ends well.

Anyone notice the Eastern Euro boxers are professional, respectful and focused on their craft versus the trash talking illiterate offerings we have from the USA? Nobody said boxing was for ignorant people. Why then, do most of the American fighters carry on like uneducated, foul mouthed spoiled divas?

I do think the boxing world needs to put some social pressure on Golovkin. The cancrushing was cute for a while but Ward is ready to fight now and Golovkin isn't signed to anything so it only makes sense for this to happen.

Kovalev needs to fight Stevenson as well. The winner of that can fight Ward. Right now, Andre does need to take care of Genady first as you don't want to add weight then try to come back down. Always work your way up in weight.

Boone gave everyone problems , even gave Kovalev a draw while knocking down Ward . Difference is Ward got up to win the fight while Kov although never knocked down by Boone , did receive a draw . Not to mention the footage of Kovalev getting KO'D with his head gear on . U Kov fans conveniently always forget to mention that ???

Andre Ward certainly is not the Son of God. That title belongs to one Jesus of Nazareth. Before he fought king of tomato cans Paul Smith on the only network that would televise such garbage, BET(!)- Ward hadn't fought for 1year and 7 months. Show me that "planet's best fighter" assertion by a credible source, and I'll still call it BS.
