Joshua is a fighter for the next generation, he misses Wlad.

If Wlad decided to waste one of his last defences on Joshua it would be a public relations stunt and a complete mismatch.

Any Joshua that was experienced enough to beat the current Wladimir would be facing a geriatric Wladimir unfortunately.

Not that Wilder is any better an opponent, probably much bummier/greener than even Joshua, but the guy made his way to a world title by way of being carried there by the now corrupt and defunct WBC and so is entitled to be knocked out for his few million bucks.

    Only in America!!
A lot of boys are getting themselves overly excited Joshua is to be the one who can defeat Wlad, personally I'm not convinced and if Wlad is to fight 5 more times and Joshua as he hopes to fight for a title next year they are almost certainly on a collision course themselves.

Wilder is the only intangible here, personally I feel Wilder will unify before facing Povetkin, I believe their is a lot of money to be made for both himself and Wlad in what will likely be a ppv attraction, Wlad hasn't been showing his face to the Americans with his three fight deal with HBO and his last fight in MSG.

Writing Wilder off as you do I don't believe does him or any of his fans any favours. Wilder has as much power as Joshua and against Stiverne proved he can in fact box and hasn't the chin of Amir Khan and David Price. It's an interesting fight as much as the Fury one IMO, will I consider it a top five win ?no I will not as I won't a win over Fury either, but it all goes some way to establishing himself further as an ATG and obviously a HOF entrant, their is fast becoming a case for him to be considered better still !

It's the Brits more than anyone. A lot of them are still sore about Haye's departure from the scene and are hedging everything on AJ to dethrone Wlad.

AJ is a fantastic prospect, sure, but labelling him 'heir' to Wladimir seems premature. There are other guys, such as Parker, who may also feature.

Still counts as he beat the second best HW's when he beat Chris Byrd and Sam Peter back in 2005/2006 so suck it. Vitali was retired at the time.

Even tho Povetkin is WBC mando - the hopes of him getting to Wilder before Wlad are slim. Depending on how Fury does - Povetkin under the rules of boxing is the only guy who can take down Wlad.
The fight was a wipeout and didn't even come close to warrant a rematch

even that is not even true. chagaev was the third best heavyweight when wlad beat him. to create a new lineage the #1 and #2 guys have to fight and vitali was #2 so what happened is they changed the rules for wlad. so yes if you believe in changing the rules and giving wlad special privileges he was lineal when he fought chagaev, if you follow the normal rules he only became lineal after beating povetkin(should have been dq'd)

regarding AJ, i think he will go for the tittle late next year & he will not have been over 8 rounds by the time he fights for the title, AJ power is off the chart & he would ko both wk & wilder on the same night , he ripping through everyone with ease, i think he could ko BOTH now to be honest , when he hits wk at his age theirs now way he could take it,& wilder was lucky in his last fight,

Both brothers are all time greats and will go down in boxing hall of fame - deservedly so. Tyson is a big strong guy but he has never fought anyone with the skill of Klitschko. Wlad will take his time looking for the opening and when he lads the right Tyson goes down but he wont get up like in the Cunningham fight because Wlad will hit with real heavyweight power and not cruiserweight. Tyson has no experience against taller fighters where Wlad has. If Wlad carries on fighting there is Wilder but no one really after and when he reitires the young guns can try establish themselves like Parker and Joshua but no one will dominate again like Wlad well no one on the hosizon I can see, anyway and people will finally realise what an exceptional talent Wlad really was him and his brother.
Good post, but it was one huge run on sentence lol

Floyd holding, clinching, wrapping up, twisting arms and elbowing=Boxing mastery.

Wlad wrapping up and leaning on a bum rushing , shorter fighter with their head in his chest for 12 rounds=Cheating.

I see what you are about.

you see what i'm about? you just made something up out of thin air. i always trash floyd for clinching/bending below the waist/using elbows. please pay attention instead of making things up. wlad is a cheater and bringing up someone who also cheats is a pretty lousy way of defending a cheater.
