Floyd's first words since the announcement of Berto as an opponent.

"Berto is a young strong lion"

"I consider him as an undefeated fighter. Me and my team and Al sat down and we wanted a strong solid competitor for my 49th fight"

"We wanna give the fans excitement because thats what its all about and Im about giving back to boxing fans"

"The fans has been asking for this fight for a long long time and on September 12 it gon' be two strong fighters going head to head. I mean you cant call this fight, you just dont know"

"For me, its not about hard work. Its about smart work. Even though I say hardwork dedication, I can contradict myself sometimes. I'm human but at the end of the day, boxing is a business"

"we looked at Amir Khan, but he stil has Garcia problems and Peterson problems. Berto in my eyes is stil an undefeated fighter"

        Pathetic, disgraceful, and absolutely shameful.

You must have never seen Berto fight. I've been watching Berto since his ESPN days he's always been very explosive for the first couple of rounds, then he fades and it wouldn't surprise me one bit if Berto caught and stunned Floyd early his hands are sneaky fast

            That make sense to you?

Anyone besides GGG won't do well on ppv. The average sports fan is tired of giving Floyd $, heck so are most boxing fans, Floyd knows he needs an exciting win to go back to being a big time ppv seller.

Floyd ain't put on an entertaining fight since Gatti.

Dude i respect you, and read your posts everyday im on here, but floyd holds the #1-5 top PPVs ever and just came off the biggest EVER...what do you mean he needs an exciting win to BACK to being a BIG TIME PPV SELLER.....he's always been (WELL FOR THE LAST 6-7 YEARS) a big time PPV SELLER
I'll just consider that, you were mailing this post in...come back stronger

This is the most fitting end for Floyd. Why change his stripes now?

is how i would best describe pacquiao's performance and subsequent excuse making after he fought TBE.

Mayweather and Berto will walk in dancing, showing off their shoulder skills with MC Hammer playing in the backround. Both fighters will shake their heads "nope" after every exchange and shoulder roll. At the end both will start dancing to "Can't Touch This", Mayweather retires and rides off into the sunset.. The End.

I still believe MW will fight again to beat Marciano's record. He just had to fulfill his Showtime contract so why not take an easy fight. On his 50th fight he will be able to promote it under his label alone and reap all the benefits.
