As a fan I will not tolerate such a fight. This is totally unacceptable

I hope this rumor is false!

I'd support Browne, Szpilka, even Charr or Briggs.. but not Wawrzyk!

If Haymon wants to pick a former Povetkin opponent, he should go with Charr. Wilder's goal would be to finish him faster than Povetkin did in order to hype up the Wilder - Povetkin showdown.

LOL. Did you protest in rage when Povetkin fought him for the WBA strap?

No, I don't think I did. I remember watching the fight and thinking what a mismatch it was

Wawrzyk was undefeated at that time, although he'd been knocked down several times.

              Now, we know his limitations.

Also, Wawrzyk hasn't fought for a long time after being seriously injured in an auto accident.

It makes sense considering Wawrzyk was signed by Haymon and Arreola looked like **** in the Kassi fight, which many PBC viewers would've seen. From a superficial perspective at least Wawrzyk is fairly big and has a nice looking record if you don't go past the numbers--I imagine that a lot of casual viewers wouldn't realize how bad of an opponent he really is.

Wilder is also likely to score a highlight-reel knockout, which could help further his status among those who don't follow the sport as closely as we do.

It was a soft fight for Povetkin too, but at least Wawrzyk hadn't already been found out in brutal fashion.

Would be one of Wilder's best wins

Wilder should be trying to rise up the rankings by fighting Povetkin. That'd be one way to send a message to the Heavyweight Champion

It might be a PR stunt to make us think it's him so when they end up feeding Arreola to Wilder we'll be over the moon.
