Amir Khan's interview from last night
Collapse
-
All in all listen,
Khan contradicts himself more than any other fighter I know. He says in one interview that there's no chance of him fighting Brook and he's his own boss. Then immediately after catching some heat, tries to say Al Haymon is deciding who he fights. Come on.
Do I think he's scared? Yeah, I think he's a little scared. He's been avoiding Brook since 2011 more or less and has always come up with new excuses to avoid him all the way back to the Hatton fight.
"He's proved himself 100% now. I'll take that fight next" - Amir Khan after Brook vs Porter.
Then there was the "winner takes all" fiasco.
Now he needs to "prove himself" again according to Khan? smh. It's getting ******. Khan doesn't like being pushed into a corner, and he never has, but that's what's happening now.
I just don't understand why he doesn't just shut everybody up, fights Brook, gets a belt and become the best in his division.
But Khan keeps referring to Brook needed to fight guys he believes will beat Brook. Why? If you want a big fight like you say "down the line" why do you want Brook to fight guys who you know will beat him? Doesn't make sense to me.
It's clear he doesn't want to fight Brook and wants Brook to get beaten so he doesn't have to.
I will say though, if Brook fights Van Heerden or Bundu, he needs to STFU and stop talking about Khan instantly and so will I. That would be pathetic.Last edited by LacedUp; 07-19-2015, 11:30 PM.Comment

Some people (often Europeans) have this delusional perspective of their favorite fighters. Often they'll claim that people are "ducking" these favorite fighters. But truth is no one cares about them.Khan's been ducked by the majority of high level 147 boxers of recent times, including being ducked by Floyd 4 times, Marquez, Pacquiao and Bradley. Brook ducked Khan to fight Frankie Gavin of all people
.. I mean that just sums up how afraid these guys are of Khan - obviously Floyd probably being the most scared of them all.
Just hope these dudes stop running sooner or later, Khan's clearing out the division just by presence alone!
I'm sorry, but Khan just isn't that interesting. He just close BOXING match with kickboxer turned boxer. Give me a break--no one is "ducking" Khan. He just isn't financially intriguing, or popular to mainstream fight fans.
Besides posters being completely promiscuous with the term "ducking"--they often forget some fighters just don't have the juice to land the fight they want. It doesn't make it a "duck" if someone doesn't want to fight them.
So cut it out. All those guys you listed would beat KhanComment

Weren't you convincing Iron Dan back in my Master Thread that the premise of a duck is based on the fact if it is permanent or temporary? What happened now?

the annoyance with khan is that when he found out may-pac was being made, he should have then arranged to fight brook late may, early June! any dumb idiot would know in the then run up to the last mayweather fight, if he'd beat brook so easily, he'd be the man everyone would be talking about for the right reasons. instead he's an arrogant annoying **** that talks about levels like he's somehow right there joined no 1 p4pComment

what happened was everything since thats come out of his mouth is a condradiction.

Great post. I agree with it all, except I don't think Khan is scared. I just think he seriously doubts he can win.All in all listen,
