The 2015 Boxing movie 'Southpaw'

Best boxing movies have been about white boxers

Rocky, Cinderella man, the fighter, raging bull

But I think it has more to do with the underdog story that appeals more to movie goers

kind of like remember the Titans, glory road was about black athletes in the underdog role

To be fair,in America their are far more under dog minority based stories than white based stories.I think they're arguing about the discrepancy.I mean boxing is mostly composed of Mexican fighters,but how many Mexican based boxing movies can you name off the top of your head.

I'm more bothered that the guy fights orthodox in a movie called southpaw.

That destroyed a lot of hope I had in this movie(Even Moreso than the boxing scenes where no one knows how to block or slip a punch).

How easy would it be for them to just mirror dude during the boxing scenes so it would appear he's lefty at least? Hopefully it does well and stirs more public interest with the casuals.

They use white characters for pretty much everything since they think they are "neutral" and people of all races can relate. They're pretty much out of touch with reality.

Eminem should of been in the movie like they intended, hes actually left handed. The father-daughter relationship would of made sense with him as well.

Can Eminem really act though?I mean 8 mile was alright,but he was basically playing his self.I think Jake was a good choice coming off of night crawler,prisoner,and Enemy.

Perhaps he is a "converted" conventional fighter, or in other words he is left handed but fights conventional. Mike Tyson is an example if im not mistaken, i believe he is left handed but fought conventional. Maybe in that fight he realizes that he has to switch back to southpaw in order to win? Just an idea.

Why don't you actually watch the movie before you lampoon the title? Lol. Maybe he makes the the switch to southpaw at a critical juncture, hmmmm.
