Ward beats them both and this comes from a BIG BIG GGG fan. He's a different breed of animal.

Triple G should avoid this fight at all costs, Ward is too much for him. Ward by TKO, he'll land at will, GGG simply isn't athletic enough to compete with Ward.

Let Ward be more active again and actually have an exciting fight and sell some tickets, then that fight can make sense.
lol, the see the GDF cry is pretty friggin funny.

Ward-Golovkin maybe brings a tenth of the money of Mayweather-Ward, and Golovkin's only been able to generate $500k at the gate (while Ward's high-water mark has been $700k at the gate).

        really ****ing hilarious.

Why avoid it? If he loses it will be to a p4p top 2 level fighter no shame in that

Better fights Ward kovalev or ward ggg

Dan Rafael, King Fight Freak (12:31 PM)

I'd be thrilled with either. The Ward camp told me today their preference is to make GGG for this fall and then go after Kovalev, which makes sense. Ward isn't going to go to light heavyweight and then come back down to face GGG. So face GGG now at whatever weight they can agree on and then, if all goes well, move to 175. Ward can go from an afterthought having fought one nothing fight in 19 months to a huge deal quickly if he were to face GGG and Kovalev in a row and win both.
Ward will want nothing less than 168, if he agrees to go lower and the fight doesn't get made, then GGG has backed out of the biggest fight of his life.

BTW fall is autumn right? so that leaves...2 months to make this fight? Possibly less. Let's get it sorted.

Anyway, HBO will make one of Ward v GGG/Kov but not in 2015, I can pretty much guarantee it.

So Ward willing to go to 160 to fight Floyd for huge money, but not even 164 for GGG, totally acceptable. But GGG willing to go to 168 to fight Chavez Jr and Froch for huge money, while willing to meet Ward halfway, is evidence of cowardice? Yeah I'd say that is really bloody hilarious.

GGG wants to clean out the Willie Munroes' of the 160-pound division before he moves up to fight Ward. We can expect Tom Loeffler excuses on why GGG will avoid fighting Ward within the next 24 hours.

Why is there this assumption that Ward re-hydrates a massive amount of weight? Ward only went up to 176 for the Dawson fight, and I doubt that he went up all that high after the Paul Smith weigh-in either (Being 173.5lbs with three weeks to the fight, I doubt that Ward put on a ton of weigt there either).

Beyond that, Golovkin himself walks into the ring for his own middleweight fights in the low 170s, so I doubt that giving his own camp an extra thing to worry about is to his advantage.

Damn, Andre Ward is about to derail two huge hype trains. This is going to be epic.

I'm doubtful that Golovkin will take the fight though. He'd prefer Heiland or one of those other bums at middleweight. Crushing cans has made him somewhat of a star, why stop now and take a fight he might actually lose?

Do you live under a rock? Even in his homecountry Gennady Golovkin, a boxer from Kazakhstan who came over to the USA about 2 and a half years ago is way more popular and known than Andre Ward.

Internationally there isnt even a comparison, nobody knows who Ward is in Europe and Asia while GGG is known all around the world.

While Ward is irrelevant at the moment, GGG is p4p #3 and the most exciting boxer in the world.
