I think the fact that Haymon is black plays a part in the Haymon hate, but its at best the #3 reason.

I think the #1 reason he's hated is his main client is Floyd Mayweather, the most hated boxer in history. I think the first time most boxing fans heard Haymon's name it was in connection with Floyd Mayweather so there has been a negative context to Haymon years before he's become the power broker in boxing that he is now. About the only guy not hated by association with Mayweather is his cutman.

The #2 reason is he's the JD Salinger of boxing. Its pretty natural for people to create evil deeds being done by the guy who's always operating behind the scenes or under cover of darkness & never shows himself to the public.

Than maybe racism comes in cuz anytime you got two "bad guys" the darker skin color one tends to be perceived as the worst of the two more often than not in the US. And if you say I'm wrong cuz you hate Haymon cuz of whatever I'm probably not talking about you. I'm talking about most of the people who hate Haymon.

I disagree with Don king in almost every way you possibly could. This is one of two things I agree with him on. The only other thing I agree with Don king on is ONLY IN AMERICA
