Whats wrong is that the competition in female combat sports is a joke compared to other female sports, let alone male ones.

MMA isn't a street fight either.

No downward strikes to the back of the head or body was a rule they introduced to make it easier for for grapplers to take down strike fighters like boxers.

No kicks allowed to a fighter on the ground was introduced so that if a grappler went for a takedown and missed it the strike fighter couldn't take advantage of that by "putting the boot in", to use street fight terminology.

Also, BJJ moves like armbars need time to work and set up, and you only get that time if your opponent is following the same rules you are.

There are no rules in a street fight.

There is a reason for such disparity in earnings. The talents and the amount of effort put in training by professional boxers is ten-fold or even more than those fringe fighters in UFC and such. This is like formula one of fight game. Yes - there are some other successful car racing leagues and competitions. But each driver is dreaming of big time thinking about Formula one.

Can't agree with that at all. A professional golfer can make more money than a prize fighter and I highly doubt they are waking up at 3am to get in morning jogs...

It comes down to the audience. MMA just lacks it because if people think boxing is too violent, they think MMA is barbaric. Also, boxing has the huge international appeal that MMA has but not at the same level.

If MMA could broaden it's appeal to the masses, no doubt the paychecks of the fighters will go up to boxing levels.

Well the fact that combat sports are synonymous with male fighting for 1, and the fact that the reason shes being talked about is because she says she can beat floyd up, now they throwing conor mcgregor into the **** talk about floyd?

I don't know if he could beat Rousey but what I would say is that he has been trained to fight standing upright, how is he going to land punches at someone coming in at waist height or lower?

There is absolutely no comparison in the strength of women and men. Especially at 1:1 weight.

There are absolutely jacked big women that I've seen across multiple gyms and look wise look like animals but get out lifted by just about any man with at least a few months training. And these women look professional.

150lb, especially Floyd or any athlete destroys any woman south of 200lb.

You see women with shreded big shoulders, thighs and ass bigger than any man in the gym and they get out squatted by little guys, forget about any man who is at least 180lb 5'10".

I don't believe women rehydrate anything like men. She probably fights only a few lbs over the limit. And doesn't walk around at 160. Looking at pictures of her there is no way she is ever 160. Do you know what a 160lb woman looks like? Even at 5'7" a 160lb woman would be pretty fat.
