****** people like you who don't know they're ****** are the worst type of people ever.

You are not a fan of this sport. That's it. Nothing left to discuss.

A fight will always be exciting, either in gloves or not, with people or animals, to prove a point or to fight to the death BUT BOXING is a sport that involves a thousands times more than that.

Don't try and tell me what "I" think, my two favourite punches in boxing are Sugar Ray Leonard's JAB and Cotto's left hook.....Am I lying to make myself sound cool with the first one? No......That's what I like.

Are there boring fights? Of course but anything can be boring, what you mean though is guys who can't knock each other out ....right? Yeah you are a casual ....get over it

Lol, that's like baseball fans complaining that casuals think it was a boring game when there's low scores or no home runs or soccer fans complaining agreeing wuth casuals when there's no goals. Only on boxing do u get this mentality from certain "fans". You have to apologize or try to make up for the fact that certain ppl have different expectations. It's asinine and very telling as a whole about this sport and it's fans.

You casual fans get bored because you probably have no idea what is going on. Go watch men roll around and get dropped by one punch in the UFC then if boxing is "so boring". It is hilarious to me when people say "running and hugging". To casual fans if you don't plant your feet and get your brains beat in you are "running". I would love to see any of you complaining casual fans get in the ring and try to get even one iota of understanding of how skilled and supremely talented fighters like Floyd, Rigo, Ward, etc. are. You have no idea of course because you probably go to local toughman contests to watch redneck bums and idiots bash each others heads in. That is your entertainment I suppose. Boxing is a sport, a skilled craft, not two idiots winging haymakers at each other. There are all different kinds of fighters so if you do not appreciate those differences and guys who dedicate their ENTIRE LIVES perfecting their craft then go start fights at local bars to watch "real excitement". I know a lot of casual fans who love baseball and think its exciting, which is utterly hilarious because baseball is the most boring uneventful sport there is. Quite ironic huh? Or do I say that because I just don't understand it? See the connection?

It's not hard to figure out even if you're a clueless fan. Its a fight. Yes there's technique and strategy involved. Problem is when fighters nowaday's prefer to win fights by spoiling rather than fighting. As much of a fan as I am, not even I cant stand to watch that type of gameplan imposed by a fighter.

The judging nowaday's is off as well. They're giving fighters more credit for evading than they are for coming forward and being the aggressor.

Credit can be given for exhibiting a superior defense when considering the score of a round. If the defense of one was far more effective than the offense of the other than it's proper to give credit. I never saw it but have been told that Willie Pep won a round without even throwing a single punch.

Exhibiting a superior defense is one thing and a fighter should be given credit for it. Evading such as what Lara does is something else.

Superior defense is when a fighter can stand in front of you or in the pocket and make you miss by slipping, bobbing, weaving and blocking. Sweatpea was a master at this. Nowaday's many defensive fighters are resorting to holding and/or evading.

Not boxing most of the time. Truth be told, casuals and hardcores really want the same thing, exciting fights.

It's just that hardcores are prepared to put up with less exciting fights and can garner some degree of enjoyment out of them whereas casuals cannot.

Boxing is becoming the only sport were its core fans are against its "players" being skilled. They would rather 2 men who do not make the effort to master their craft get in and slug it out.

I can't imagine in any other sport, even a combat sport, that skill would be deemphasized as a means to entertainment.
