It seemed like he was joking that's why I didn't make much of it at the time but now he's actually fighting Berto.

He has referenced the possibility of a 50th fight in at least one interview I've seen, specifically acknowledging the timing of the new MGM arena opening before downplaying the chance he'd take a fight after 49. Frankly I am surprised this wasn't more talked about.
But then on the other hand, I also believe Roger's health will negatively affect Mayweather's desire to return.
