What do you think 2lbs means to guys this small , lets say in comparison to 2lbs with Cotto and 2lbs with Canelo , you guys really don't understand weight and soooooooo take it for granted , do you realize 2lbs extra on a 1000 pound racehorse can get it beat , think about this in terms of F1 athletes not a tub of butter in your cooler .

Of course lbs make a difference, especially at World level where every percentage advantage could be the difference. However I am OK for it to be at 124 myself. I disagree with any rehydration clause though.

Oh but may I add that I don't like any catch weights at all. I am a believer is staying with the divisions that are already set. However I also understand that compromise is important in match ups.

How are you gonna call out the smaller guy, then ask him to meet you, when he is the smallest in his division? Punk move by team Loma, especially after being weight cheated by Salido. If they know what its like to be behind the 8ball due to weight, why would they do that Rigo?

That's probably why they're calling him out, trying to ruin his stock before the signing. That's also probably why they are so stiff on the terms, because they need every advantage to make sure his stock drops.

Loma deserves credit for how he has started his career. I don't recall anyone in my time watching the sport start off his career with this resume. If he fights everyone he can and wins all those fights, definitely possible, he could be the next guy to crack the top 10-20 ATG list.

That said, this call out feels like he is trying to shade the fact that he doesn't want to fight Walters right now because Walters, if he makes 126, will surely come in about 10lbs heavier than Loma. He looks somewhat hypocritical after complaining about weight then calling up a smaller fighter.

It is also surprising that an Arum fighter would call Rigo out given his past with Arum and Arum's position Rigo is boring. Would HBO put this fight on?

Given the Salido loss, I can completely understand why Loma doesn't want to suffer another defeat right now, especially one where weight could be a factor.

He will likely fight Simpie, which is still a good fight. Just isn't Walters, the one we all wanted to see who the best 126lber in the world is.
