@mchammer what if he got the same purse ad he just got for the collazo scrap, shouldn't they be enough or maybe even a couple hundred thousand more

So should he continue to waste time in his career, or should he try to move forward and make himself a star? If he beats one of the guys he named then he gets a minimum of 2.5-4 mil each time out. If he beats Spence, he stays at the same level. One is so much more preferable to other that it doesn't make sense.

Collazo was a stay busy and we all know it. Why should he fight someone that we would all label as a prospect instead of pursuing something bigger?

They're names alone are worth good money. Spence's isn't right now. If he's fighting Spence then it better be worth his time, the other guy's are already worth it.

spence might not be but hes probably the best fighter in the 140-147-154 divisions that haymon has. he dont have much character tho so its all gonna be about what he does in the ring which is fine. i just never saw what others did in thurman i think hes a good fighter but people been talking like hes the next great thing and the one to dethrone mayweather and i just never saw it.

The thing is tho in a way i think mayweather ruins the division cause we overhype fighters if we think they have even a small chance to beat mayweather and we also dont give them enough credit cause they cant beat mayweather its just not good

He's ducking the guy with like 16 fights on his resume. He's ducking the guy who hasnt been in with a top 15 contender. Thurman is ducking this green horn all while trying to fight 3 or 4 guys who are in the top 5, who have had belts and who have a lot more than 16 fights on their resume.

How does that sound??? Errol Spence aint **** yet and dont deserve Kieth Thurman. Let him beat Collazo or Diego Chavez or even Chris Algeiri, then talk about breaking into the top 10. **** a fight between Spence and Devon Alexander would be alright, right about now.

BS al haymon pays his fighter's great if thurman fights spence he's gettting a career high 2 mill likely...he only got 1.5 for ghost..why does he need 10 mil for this kid that he says is a boy...this is a flat out duck..u have ppl calling for and ppl talkin about it more than any other fight that we mention him in..everyone hear nearly agrees that he has no business in the ring with floyd at this point..beating teh spences of the world guys that have viewable talent would set you apart...tony harrison doesnt have spences followers, but when willie ko'd him nobody pooped on harrison for fighting him young..

Didn't really add to Nelson either did it? And why are you comparing an unknown undercard fighter to Keith Thurman? Way different points of their careers. Nelson just showed one of two things. Either he is too good of a journeyman to put a bluechip in with, or you want him fighting guys with star potential that need a bounce back fight. Thurman belongs in neither category.

We do agree he doesn't belong in with Floyd, but he does with virtually anyone else at WW. There are a whole lot of steps between Spence and Mayweather, and Thurman belongs at those steps. He needs to keep moving forward with more accomplished opposition and Spence doesn't fit that criteria just yet.

and remember this is his first weight class and he rehydrates great..imo he does get ko'd sometime during his career at 147-154...and likely after that as well too..he's depending on athletic ability to his mental knowledge of the game like a fighter we've seen for 20 years now who is at the top..the entire division is incomplete but highly dangerous..should be fun to play out..but thurmans already showing that he's going to pick and choose opponents...this guy had no interest in going up and fighting andrade or lara...say wat they want devon called him out and the guy didnt bother being proactiv to make the fight...but he goes to paulie on some dont duck me son lol

Errol , Welcome to the worst division in the sport!!! all the focus is on this division because of Floyd and Manny , what does the other top WW do ? fight collazo/Gavins/Algeiri of the world , if those guys start figthing live bodies it might be a good division , but no , they all wait for Floyd to pick them for a dance , otherwise they are fighthing bad comp , as i said earlier , they shouldve fought eachother and SHOW us who should fight Floyd and not just explaining us in words.....
a mini WW tourny winner fight floyd in may wouldve been great to see.....

Because there is NOTHING else to gain by fighting an unproven and unknown prospect. At least by fighting one of the top names Thurman would gain more exposure and a fight on a bigger stage. Funny how nobody was thinking about Spence until Floyd started pushing him on Thurman/Porter because Floyd himself wants nothing to do with those 2 guys but instead wants to set up a mega fight with future all time great Karim Mayfield....
