Spence hasn't been in the ring with anyone yet. Jumping to Thurman is a huge risk, and considering Thurman didn't get a chance like that, hell, still can't get a chance like that, I don't blame him for not wanting to give one to Spence.

Thurman will 100% fight Porter or Khan next imo.

I'd rather see Thurman vs Porter but I'm good with either.

Spence should fight Bundu on the Mayweather undercard imo. A very tricky and durable guy, if he stops Bundu, I would be massively impressed.

as i fan i blame him..as a person that understand boxing business side these days i dont, but his pockets will get laced with 1.5 either way..

In 2012/2013 Thurman was in the same place Spencer is. Prospect who was destroying weak competition. Thurman called out better fighters and famously went on the rant in his press conference in Brooklyn calling out Paulie saying stop ducking me son. And Paulie embarrassed him in his own press conference pointing out how he was a prospect and that Paulie was at a prize fighting stage and that Thurman brought no prize to the table.

Now the tables are turned and Thurman wants a bigger prize and a young buck who brings nothing to table is calling him out. Spence looks like a world beater but so did Thurman. Now people doubting thurman because he's graduated from D class fighters and has had some weak moments fighting B and C class fighters. Guys not known as big punchers have hurt Thurman see Guerrero/Collazo. Spence looks unstoppable against D class fighters Thurman fought 3 years ago. Maybe he will still be unstoppable when he moves up to fighting the Collazo's and Bundu type fighters as well. Or maybe he gets exposed or upset. Who knows because that's what prospect do. Look great against bums and it's a crap shoot when they step up in competition. I've been around boxing long enough to not get to excited by what Spence is doing. Wake me up when he fights better fighters. Until then Thurman has bigger fish to fry at welterweight guys who bring a bigger prize to the table is what he is looking for.

Eventually one of the second and third tier guys will fight Spence and we will see a gradual progression in the young lad, he has the goods if you ask me. Might be better than Brook and NSB knows i have brook as the second best ww
