If a fight with a top welterweight (Mayweather, Pac, Brook, Khan, Porter, Maidana, Bradley) cannot be made then he should just fight Spence or Alexander next.

I don't care who Thurman faces next as long as it's a quality opponent. No more Collazo bums of the world. Thurman's resume to this point is very weak and he should only be fighting meaningful fights. It's sink or swim time. He needs to fight Khan, Bradley, Mayweather, Manny, Brook, Maidana, Porter, Garcia, ect. Only person I will give him a pass on if he didn't fight next is Spence just because he's still a prospect and hasn't fought anybody yet. So Thurman has a built in excuse if he don't fight him next but Thurman has to fight one of the other guys I named. It's a joke that the best name on his resume is Guerrero.

I don't even think Haymon would risk putting Spence in there this early with Thurman. We have seen this song and dance before with Haymon fighters calling guys out but when it comes time to make a fight the real man (Haymon) who calls the shot want's no part of making it so the fights don't happen. But lets say we get past that hurdle and Haymon gives the green light Thurman would get ZERO credit if he beats the daylights out of Spence because everyone will say who cares Spence has done nothing in boxing anyway. He is simply too young and untested to be a quality win for Thurman. Thurman wants and needs to fight top welterweights which is something Spence is not yet. Right now Spence is a unranked prospect. He has a ton of talent and potential and one day might become a top welterweight. But that day is not today.

Fighting this particular prospect would be a step up in competition for Thurman. I think Thurman doesn't want to fight a young up and coming guy that is as good as Errol Spence. The risk vs reward isn't good for Thurman.

When have we seen this "song and dance" before? If you say Peter Quillin dropping his title and turning down the Matthew Korobov fight I would have to remind you that Quillin fought Andy Lee immediately after he knocked Korobov out. If you say Stevenson hiring Haymon and moving on to fight on Showtime I would have to remind you that it is HBO and Main Events that choose not to work with Haymon and not the other way around. So other than those two examples that I just debunked I'd like to hear what other example you can site.

Oh man at this point both Khan and Thurman have suggested if no Mayweather fight theyd take each other.

Khan whooped a fresher Collazo, put him down 3 times and did not get hurt in the process.

Keith wants to pick on a guy with a glass chin, sounds like a cherry pick. He should fight Alexander or Algieri first.
