Even when you saw them coming they are still painful, you can't do anything but to either suck it up or take a knee to catch your breath. I like Thurman honesty here.

He showed heart by not doing so.

Yep! Unless you are a beast like Maidana who took that devastating bodyshot from Khan, was on the floor almost crying but still got up. It's just not done enough at the top level IMO.

Collazo didn't look that bad when he quit...

Yeah Vitali Klitschko's eye was falling out and he still wanted to continue vs Lewis.

I keep hearing that collazo took a beating in the 7th and I don't see it. And ya he didn't look bad in the corner.

Thurman showed that he's a next level fighter in that round. Not that he's as talented as others but heart is the most under rated tool in the ring by casual fans. You only see it when you are in trouble.

I've been hit with liver shots before and usually your whole body shuts down, and you instinctively curl up in a fetal position. When your air is gone and your hurt like that, staying up is mighty impressive

They don't realize. Most of the children on this site come here to do nothing but argue, call names and pick on certain fighters by calling them bums. They wouldn't know how to slide there hand Into a boxing glove let alone take a liver shot. Thurman took a shot that could not have been placed any better and managed to survive. He Is a very tough guy but I still don't see how he could possibly win more than a few rounds(If that) against Mayweather.
