    Yes, he did!!!!

And that's what distinguishes the Champs from the pretenders.
    Much respect to Thurman!!!

Collazo, should have looked at himself in the mirror pre-fight and came to the realization, that he won't get too many more chances. He needed to make that fight count no matter what happened. Calling it quits instead of telling his corner to stop the bleeding was a move pretenders make and not champions. Its one thing to be relegated to gate-keeper by circumstance, but to accept that role by choice is another thing entirely. Collazo made a choice when he quit, and there's no coming back from that.

I love the fact that he says in the article that holding is not something he does, until it is necessary. No wonder I love watching him fight. Holding is the (tactical) cancer of the sport.

He left himself completely unprotected, and all he could do was hope that his conditioning could carry him through the round.

It reminds me of Judah/Garcia. Zab refused to go easy against the younger fighter, and wound up having some success at the end. Had he given up earlier in the bout, we wouldn't have gotten to see what Garcia was really made of. Collazo seemed to have given up on himself a little, and I wonder what sort of implications that will have going forward. Fighters usually beg for one more round when they're dealing with facial damage that can potentially stop the fight, but Collazo invited the stoppage in a way.

Yeah he's said it a few times before, you rarely see Keith clinch. He uses his feet.

Looked like when pac got hit by a devastating liver shot by margarito and tho visibly hurt refused to go down. Thurman's a beast, that body shot would have dropped a lot of fighters.

It was a lovely shot from Collazo, and Thurman dealt with it well.
