JCC was a basic fighter, but at lower weights he had a chin made of steel and good bodywork, when he moved up in weight and started fighting guys who weren't the size of 5th graders, who had power, things didn't turn out good for him.

Looking at JCC'S skillset,(flat footed and no defense) and history was he average @ 140 or better? because he sure as hell wasn't good.

Even though Chavez was undersized at WW and lost (or should have lost) in his big fights there, look at whom he was fighting. Pernell Whitaker and a 25 year old Oscar DLH.

He could probably have won a title at WW against lesser opposition than those fighters.

At 140, Chavez was still a hell of a fighter, mostly in the late 80s and early 90s. He peaked at 135 against Rosario.
