They say Haymon pays to fighters more than others. He really does. They say he brings boxing back to free TV. Yes he does.
But why does Haymon do it? Is it because he is just a good man or an altruist? Come on! He does it just to destruct his rivals and get the major marketshare. As soon as he does it (if ever) he will do the same thing as his rivals like De La Hoya or Arum do. He is as sleezy as these "decent" guys who are concerned with nothing but their own wallets. It's just the money, nothing else.
Unfortunately, boxing (like almost everything in the world) is based on competition among such hideous hardheads. But if one of them finally wins then boxing will turn into something horrible. I hope this will never happen.

De la Hoya got the greatest deal in the history of sports business.

Spend years doing drugs, do nothing to improve his business and gets his talent bought off him for 8 figures ONLY after turning down a bigger offer to sell his entire company.

How anyone can feel sorry for him is mind boggling.

I love all these new handles that pop up in every Haymon oriented thread to defend the guy as if he was their secret lover. Guess what? You only make him seem more sleazy than he really is. If that is even possible.

And for the other idiots out there... I don't care about Mayweather and his connection to Haymon. Makes no difference to me. The best thing for boxing will the be day Mayweather and Pac both retire from the sport. The next best thing for boxing will be the day Haymon is charged with violating federal anti-trust laws and is removed from boxing permanently.

Now, now, no need to feel threatened. That role is still reserved for you, and I've no interest in competing with you for it. Btw, cong**** on the recent Supreme Court ruling.

did anyone else see how dirty al haymon did delahoya, basically stealing his whole stable from a fellow partner, and cats here are gonna act like al haymon is doing it out the goodness of his heart and for the betterment of boxing, cmon. Hes basically the dirtiest shadiest dude you can find. And i dont like his matchmaking, its got nothing to do with race, if you want to make it a race issue, then how do you like how haymon and mayweather exploit black culture and **** on it to make money. guys like haymon and mayweather play up every negative black stereotype you can think of.

You bet he did.

But looking at things from a fan's perspective, I don't trust him.

All claims by his lackeys that people don't like him "because he's black" is race-baiting and an attempt to distract from the real issues. Haymon received a lot of criticism before people even had a clue that he was black. If that's what he is. I couldn't pick the guy out of a police lineup and I suspect most other boxing fans couldn't, either.

I'll say it on your behalf, because it's as clear as day.
It's really not. I love that Haymon has boxing on channels other than HBO and Showtime even though I get both of those channels. He's trying and somewhat succeeding at making boxing mainstream again. But he has kept top fights from happening and certainly protects his fighters too much sometimes. Managers/advisors should protect their fighters in that they dont sacrifice their health for money and should look out for their best interests. Perhaps its even ok to schedule more fights against styles that your guy can deal with as long as its not a bum. But any promoter who keeps big fights from happening or does too many showcase fights deserves criticism. He even supposedly gets his fighters good paydays and keeps them from being churned up and spit out like a lot of fighters do. I think a lot of people dont liek him because of his association with Floyd and because he's very sneaky. Few people even know what he looks like, they think he's the guy who promotes most of his fights Sam Watson who has the two twin sons who see in the corner of every one of their fighters.

Breadman is bringing up the same point I brought up yesterday

    WHY DO THE FANS CARE

Theres only reason I mention over and over

    Haymon = Mayweather

Because of that association fans want to see free Boxing burned to the ground and dont give a crap about the fighters being happy and well taken care of with Haymon

I dont consider any of those people "fans" Instead you guys have a weird man crushes and obsessions to the point its just creepy.

Im all for FREE BOXING. Al Haymon will be known as the man who planted the seeds for an eventual universal Boxing commission and union to protect fighters someday. Thats why sleezebag promoters like Arum never want to see that happen
