LOL, this proves GGG is not very confident. He would go up to fight Froch or Chavez jr at 168 BUT NOT WARD. LOLComment

Wait maybe this interview got taken out of context and he didnt' exactly say he would ONLY fight Ward at a catch weight. Is there anyone that knows how to contact Steve Kim or those guys who interview Loeffler???? Maybe we could reach out and get a more definite answer. After re-reading and googling some ****, something doesn't seem right.
GGG wouldn't give him the go-ahead to say thisComment

Yeah GGG is scared of the guy fighting British restaurant managers . You wish
Don't forget even the better boxing sites aren't above click-bait articles. Let the air clear. It could be that Loeffler is really trying to get Ward to say "ok 50-50 but it's 168 or nothing" then Loeffler comes back with an improved offer. Time will tell. But I'd still rather see a fight at 164 than a Heiland fight and I would hope that Ward fans would rather see a CW fight with GGG rather than another warm up against a Paul Smith level fighter.Comment

What Golovkin's team has to realize is that statements like these open the door for Cotto and Canelo, should they choose to fight Golovkin, to ask for a catchweight as well.
catchweights are just awful.Comment

That's my take - negotiations start with a weighted offer and you wait the counter offer. Ward fans wetting themselves but lets see what Ward's response is.Comment

People that are unwilling to give Golovkin credit for Lara are a just figment of the imagination of the people complaining about other people not giving Golovkin credit for Lara. They don't actually exist. It's gotten to the point where the complainers have forced themselves to become what they most fear, the imaginary people who won't give Golovkin credit for Lara.Last edited by DoktorSleepless; 07-08-2015, 05:07 PM.Comment
