    catchweights are just awful.
For Cotto or Canelo, it's about the WBC MW title. Golovkin as a mando can force that fight at 160 or have them stripped. Besides I don't think Canelo will be able to make under 160 for much longer.

Golovkin, you gonna move up to fight Ward at 168? No.
Ward, you gonna down to to 160 to fight Golovkin? No.
You guys wanna meet in the middle? Nah not really.

OK good, then both shut the hell up and do your own thing.

Makes sense, I was hoping they'd not give into Andre "Diva" Ward's demands.

I see the Golovkin haters' comments in this thread, how soon they forgot Ward demanded that poor Paul Smith fight him at a catch weight of 172.

So all boxings prima donnas like Floyd Mayweather, Miguel Cotto, Andre Ward and so on are allowed to demand catch weights, but for some reason Golovkin has to move up 8 pounds for an unpopular opponent?

The Golovkin haters' favorite fighter Floyd Mayweather drained Canelo down to 152. Broner drained Porter, but lost anyway. Cotto drained Geale.

But Golovkin isn't allowed to suggest a perfectly fair catch weight against a bigger boxer?

A few years ago, Andre Ward said he'd fight anybody at 168 and 175. Sergey Kovalev said he'll be Ward's huckleberry. Why not? Ward's last fight was at light heavyweight.

Half wits is a good term for the majority of people posting in this thread. Ward is clearly larger than GGG (height, weight, and reach), so GGG is fighting at a disadvantage by going above 160. GGG haters are fine with this disadvantage, but if they split the disadvantage by making Ward meet him at a catchweight halfway between, that is a problem?

Ward said he would fight Floyd at 160, but he won't for GGG. Do GGG haters pick up on that when they bring up Froch? 164 and 50/50 sounds like a fair offer as a starting point to me. Of course if you want to judge the offer by how big of a disadvantage it is for GGG, you might be hard to please.

Sometimes I can't tell if they are ****ing around because they hate GGG/GGG fans, or they really are that dumb.

You should be pleased - it's recognition from GGG camp that Ward is a hell of a threat - something that is obvious when you consider he was #2 PforP recently. Chavez is a laughing stock - I think GGG would fight him at almost any weight. Froch at 168 in Nottingham - speaks volumes about GGG's opinion of Frock.
