If haymon truly wants to build the sport up. He will never make PPV fights again and only make the biggest and best fights possible on nbc, cbs, etc. Just because Floyd could be on cbs doesn't mean squat as far as building the sport up.

So you think the casual will be excited to see Floyd fight a scrub fighter like Berto or mayfield? I don't think so.

For me I've aready seen enough of Floyd and would rather him just retire off his great win over pacman.

So don't watch him... Only boxing fans complain about boxing being on free TV then, instead of not watching they just say it shouldn't be on at all and that's supposed to be good for the sport lol.

Except Floyd is signed to CBS for 6 fights, not Showtime. Showtime is a channel CBS owns so his 6 fight obligation would be met.

Mayweather-Berto is the definition of a PBC fight. Pre-determined outcome. Honestly, I think Floyd has earned the right to fight whomever he wants. I feel like he probably just wants to get this fight over with and have it be as easy as possible. I'm cool with that since he just beat the guy we all felt he needed to beat.

I try to avoid talking to him since we have the same conversation over and over about PBC. So I don't blame you even though I never ignore, because I would rather chew glass than PM him~

I don't really know what he was getting on about, I mean I do kind of but I don't see how PBC would be a big impediment since CBS and Showtime are going to have to reconcile that whole deal eventually.

Just looking at this page I see the ESPN set up and they could easily just put Showtime on CBS above PBC and problem solved.

Well being a fan for many many many years and giving boxing thousands of dollars and time to watch and enjoy the sport. I'm very choosy on what I watch. Boxing in the past decade has slipped as far as quality matchups. I just want the best fights out there. If you are satisfied with the status quo of match ups then hey enjoy but if the sport truly wants to grow you have to force fighters to fight the best and challenge themselves and not just hug onto one fighter. If not boxing will stay where it's at, a die hard fans sport.
