Cotto-Golovkin isn't going to happen; call it a hunch but I think Floyd announces Mayweather-Brook in the near future, he gets elevated to champion emeritus by WBC (vacating the belt, with the option to call for am immediate title shot in the future) and a similar distinction by the WBA (vacating that belt also), Team Golovkin balks at the continued refusal to guarantee, Cotto vacates the middleweight belt, and Cotto-Canelo happens at 155.

After the fight, Canelo chases the WBC 154 belt (Canelo vs Mundine seems doable), Cotto goes after the wba belt, at Golovkin is left with a vacant trinket that he'll pick up against another no-name opponent.

No belt for losing. Why would Mayweather give away $200k to keep the WBO belt when he has all the other belts that he just might give up anyway. He can beat the WBO champ and save 200k plus the Mils he'll make doing it. PAC name is only in the equation as losing the WBO belt to Floyd. Now do you get it!
