My point wasn't about Bute, it was about Ward turning down the fight. But here you go going in another direction again.

Btw, Bute was in the same weight class as Ward and Froch, it's only natural the best in the division fight each other, you seem to keep forgetting Golovkin is a weight class below Ward. Obviously he should get paid well for jumping up a weight class to fight Ward especially considering Golovkin is a big draw himself. If Golovkin was demanding outrageous things just fight guys in his own weight class you'd have a point but that obviously isn't the case. Golovkin is a middleweight not a 168 pounder.

Yet Team GGG felt that Ward had no right to dictate terms

What entitled them to that belief?
Ward was nowhere last year. Ggg was Ring readers FOTy, climbing up the p4p ranks. Most importantly, Ward cannot dictate the terms if unprepared to make an offer. If ge depends on Ggg to produce an offer, he cannot dictate the terms. But will you remember this simple lesson?

        Stop talking shht.

Many fighters left their ego and self-entitlement at the door to sign a big fight and further their career through ACHIEVEMENT.

I guess it comes down to confidence and self-belief.

When Golden Boy Promotions flatly stated that Erislandy Lara was NOT a draw, had a difficult style, and would not be considered as Canelos next opponent..... Canelo said "GTFOH! Sign that fight, or fcuk off..... Lara WILL be my next opponent".

Canelo was an established PPV star at that point in time, and he did not make silly financial excuses..... like you are.

Stop listening to, and then repeating, bullshht.

Golovkin has the exact resume that he wants..... if not, he would change it.
That's what I'm saying. Then they make the Haymon/HBO excuse but have no problems calling out Floyd or Quillin.

Except you leave out one important factor - Canelo and Lara were in the same weight class. Golovkin has always attempted to fight the best in his division.

Thanks to NATAS for pointing out that Team Bute were far more confident in their man than Team GGG

Bute was in a very similar position to GGG at the time. KO'd a bunch of no hopers and had a band of rabid fans saying he was P4P top 10 but he also had many doubters.

His team were still willing to even go to Oakland to fight Ward off PPV to prove themselves.

Ward wants way more money than he brings, and than anyone is able to pay fcukwit. He just git rejected by all the premium networks cause ge wanted 2m for a tuneup vs no hoper.

Canelo is Mexicos most popular fighter, ges Ppv and has no issues financing any fight he wants. He also was with Showtime then. Get informed dumbfcuk

I don't care about some mickey mouse awards or rankings.

Ward vs Rodriguez did great ratings on HBO despite him being out a year and the fight having no promotion whereas Golovkin's next fight against Geale tanked in the ratings despite massive hype around it.

That was when Loeffler, Sanchez and co were asked about the Ward fight and made these comments. Loeffler "we need a large chunk of the purse". Sanchez "Ward can't dictate terms to us"

you're giving props to Bute for fighting guys in his own division? Hasn't Golovkin consistently attempted to do that?

Because he's a fighter and doesn't want to look like a ***** in front of his fans. Just like all other fighters that have one foot out the door but wake up some days with the urge to fight.

They havent nentioned Quilkin in a long time. He was given multiple offers before Gbp/Haymon were banished from hbo.

Floyd doesnt belong in the discussion at all gtfo. Hbo would probably happily let ggg fight him on sho and come back as a ppv megastar after knocking floyds block off on sho in ppv
