" GGG's stature " ?
He is a nobody, who has done nothing LOL !
That is why Golovkin is happy to fight an older, slower, made-to-order fighter, who already has one foot out-the-door..... for what would be by far his best payday.
Excellent, glad to hear that Golovkin is happy to fight in Oakland.Comment

“If a fight with Gennady could be discussed, the fact is that Andre is on an island with the belief that he can demand terms,” said Sanchez. “That makes it un-makeable and un-workable when he wants the major portion of the money.” - Sanchez
And here's the ownage from Ward's manager....
Apparently, Abel Sanchez is breathing too much of that Big Bear mountain air…Time and time again, this man keeps going on the record and saying things with a complete detachment from reality,” said Dubin, in part.
“For him to say that Andre Ward could not dictate terms in a fight between Andre Ward and Gennady Golovkin and that Gennady Golovkin is a bigger star is pure fantasy…The last I checked, Abel Sanchez is a trainer, not a manager and he’s not calling any shots over there. So that’s just a lot of hot air

.
If Ward can pack the raiders stadium and finance the fight, sure. But he can barely get himself paid against a no hoper on BET. Ric Natiion CEO: when it makes financiak sense. Get lost loserComment

Team Golovkin have the biggest over-inflated sense of self-entitlement in the boxing game today.
Listening to folks tell me how much of a star Golovkin is.... has become truly amusing.
Its funny, because if he really was a star, I am sure that I would have noticed it, all by myself.
It used to be..... that a fighter became a star, by beating star opponents.
Now..... all it takes is public reassurance from his management team.Comment

I'm well aware. You clearly missed my point. Golovkin would have to move up in weight to fight a guy no one knows, there's really no purpose for that right now since Golovkin is campaigning at 160. It would be similar if Froch moved up in weight just to fight some random guy (something Froch has never done). You don't move up in weight unless a) it's a big fight or b) you're planning on moving up in weight and want to test the waters first (like Pacquiao fighting David Diaz at 135 or something like that).
Beggars can't be choosers. How can a team and set of fans go on about how no one will fight GGG yet when you mention a world champion, they turn their noses up and say "no ones heard of him"?Comment

See above. There's literally no reason to move up a weight class to fight DeGale right now. If DeGale was a middleweight then that would be a different story (and no doubt they would go after him, like they have all MW title holders), but you don't move up a weight class just to fight some random guy for the hell of it and then move back down in weight, makes no sense.Comment

We all know what it means when there's less money on offer. Abel Sanchez was talking like GGG deserved more of the purse before he got put in his place by Ward's manager.
