Comments Thread For: Floyd Mayweather Will Retire Undefeated, Says Morales

As long as he ducks GGG he will remain undefeated. GGG would have to run and chase him all night but would eventually connect and pound him into submission.Comment

Before May 3: Morales sees Pacquiao as having the tools and abilities to beat Floyd.
After May 3: Morales thinks Floyd only picks opponents at the right time when they don't have the tools and abilities to beat him.
El Terrible sure is a tainted-meat-eating, flip flopping son of a gun.

Mayweather is the only fighter in the history of boxing who's prime lasted 20 years, his entire career in fact.
Another record.Comment

The reason for this is, Morales was not in strong contention at the time. It was Hamed, Marquez, Barrera and Pacquiao at the top of that division. Floyd called out Hamed, but Hamed ducked him. Barrera went on to destroy him while Morales went on to destroy Pacquiao. Barrera and Morales tangled while Floyd was off getting championships. Floyd was always focused on big names, and I firmly believe if Hamed had not ducked him, Floyd would have destroyed him instead of Barrera, and he would have targeted Morales after Morales destroyed Pacquiao. Morales/Mayweather would have been, at the time, a beautiful fight, with El Terrible getting outclassed to a stoppage.I don't remember Morales ever seeking out a fight with Floyd. If my memory serves me correctly, thry spent the majority of their careers consistently at least two divisions apart. During the whole "golden era of featherweights", the only one mentioned as a potential opponent for Floyd was Hamed.
You sound ignorant.
It's on record:- Floyd reached out to Pacquiao for a fight.
- Floyd offered Pacquiao 40 million. Pacquiao declined.
- Floyd wanted random drug testing. Pacquiao declined "afraid of needles".
In hindsight Pacquiao was smart not to take that fight. Had he taken it then, we'd be seeing 3 consecutive losses rather than 2.
I laugh when people claim Floyd was ever scared of this guy, when BOTH times it's been Floyd calling Manny, not the other way around.
Golovkin is slow and telegraphs punches. The only thing he'd have going for him is that Floyd doesn't have enough power to trouble him and GGG would just go for broke with slugging, kind of like a more accurate Ruslan. Floyd's answer to that: Clinch and rack up power shots with punches to the body.
Floyd by UD, lolComment

It a ****** statement that has zero merit. Half of the so-called people he "ducked" actually ducked him. Who are these so called "plenty of people that are involved with the sport" that say this? You know what's funny? cotto who probably ain't even a top five win for Floyd would looked at as by far the greatest win on 33 year old GGG's resume .....a guy who **** 99% of nsb loves to suck.Comment

Its not fair. I'll use Cotto as an example. He was a beast when he fought Manny. Became a bum when he fought Floyd. Then, turned around and won the middleweight title. And now, he's about to fight in the most anticipated fight in the second half of 2015. And its anticipated mostly by folks that labeled him as washed up when Floyd fought him. I know I'm wayyyyyy too big a Floydidiot to find logic in that. Help me out please.Comment
