Garcia not only lost against Herrera in the island but he also lost so much confidence that he needed to fight in his next fight an unknown and low rated lightweight boxer (and to make things worse he also requested Rod Salka to fight at a cw of 142 Lbs.) The Peterson fight was closer but many in the media and lots of boxing fans, including me, believe that Lamont deserved a narrow win or at minimum a draw. Garcia got exposed and it is clear that he is far from being an elite boxer.

Garcia has his limits and having a simple non-flashy style, does NOT make for a loss. Peterson was stylin and had Sugar Ray in awe while doing nothing for the first 6-7 rounds. Turn the volume down and see why Garcia got the win. Porter said it best, "Lamont waited too long, was not active enough in the first half and it cost him the fight."

"Oh wow, I am really impressed with Peterson's MOVEMENT..." ~Leonard.

"His conditioning is just amazing" ~Leonard

It's as if Peterson gave Leonard nothing else to talk about for the first 6-7 rounds...
