Only idiots do this. But, yeah he is about in line with the rest of the good 140-147 lbers, but not better. Let's see who the real standout is at these divisions. Still to be seen.

And yes, I'm Puerto Rican. But, we just don't have any good fighters at the moment. Mexico will always be the backbone of boxing and will continually produce more champions and better fighters then us. It's just the way it is. Gotta keep it real.

How so if he landed MORE power shots to Herrerra's jabs?

You need to watch that fight over and cut back on the drama you seem to have added.

The punch stats and scorecards don't support a "beat down." The champ gets the nod always in close fights.

I have come to realize most people can't think for themselves. They simply repeat what they think is the approved opinion etc.

          "It was a clinic doe"

          "he destroyed Danny"

"Danny is scared of Matthysse doe"

" Cotto cheated beacause a low blow occurred and it never happens in Chavez, Abner Mares, or Salido fights doe"

This is why you gotta slap the peasants back with the hand of truth. If you let em get carried away, they will eventually find a way to spin reality and claim Cotto lost to Baldomir too.

i see you like the stats, so almost 90% did not have garcia as the winner... only some biased ricans gave him the W...
so dont blame the mexicans, almost the entire forum had herrera winning...
            herrera 82.68% (377)
            garcia 11.62% (53)
            draw 5.70% (26)
this robbery was almost as bad as pac-bradley 1...

I do like stats over "group-think" Study it enough and you will see, most people simply cannot think for themselves and instead, take comfort in repeating what they hear.

Case in point: Garcia V Peterson...

Group-think hysteria will have you believe Peterson was on fire with the jab @ 23%

What I saw, too many Peterson punches falling 2-3 inches short because he chose to be 10 feet away from Danny for most of the fight while pretending to be Sugar Ray Leonard. Fake ass bolo punch fail included.

CHAMP gets the nod. Herrerra's stats show MORE jabs landed and LESS POWER shots landed for Herrerra.

Stats and facts over group-think peasants. "Clinic doe...Cuz I am scared to form my own opinion so I will speak in popular forum-speak doe"

The individual who THINKS for himself is rare. So don't talk to me about "popular" opinion and other trendy shyt.

the peterson fight was close and even i admitted from the very beginning that it could have gone to either fighter, ill give you that one, but the herrera fight wasnt even close, you are the only one defending that one, just let it go...
oh and by the way a poll is just the result(stats) of individuals expressing their own personal opinion just like yours....

My dude Bardock doe... I had no idea this Bardock/DragonBallZ thing was an actual lifestyle for some people?

Yo Bardock, all jokes aside... do you actually role play and go to the conventions and shyt?

Agree. Herrerra was closer BUT... I see more value in power punches than I do a jab fest. Add to that, the old truth that you have to BEAT the champ. I just do not think Herrerra catching Garcia on a slow night and out-jabbing him, rises to that standard.

This guy is pathetic. It was not a one sided fight to be crying about it like that. I had him winning by two rounds, but some of the rounds he won were close rounds. He was also in Puerto Rico and fought the champ, so of course he had to know his position was to be an opponent. If anything he should cry more about the Benavidez fight cuz that was a clear robbery, no doubt. I thought Lamont Peterson won more clearly vs Danny than Herrera. At least Peterson looked like he was on his way to a stoppage late in a close fight.
