At 154 Floyd toys with GGG, I wouldn't impose a weight restriction if I were Floyd let him gain all the weight he wants. He would be a sluggish nightmare the next day.
Ggg other him being a MW brings nothing to the table Floyd hasn't seen.
Dude doesn't have blazing hand speed, defense subpar, head movement non-existent, his only advantage is power and weight.

This would be a dumb move by Golovkin. He doesn't need the Floyd fight, he's already making good money on HBO for a guy from Kazakhstan. He is a natural Middleweight, it fits his size..he should just stay @160 and solidify his legacy there..like Hagler
that didn't have to chase weight jumping for respect. Without a rehydration clause Floyd would be running all night like a scared kitten..

Knocking out Floyd would be a great career move. GGG is already the biggest baby face in the sport and this would make him the biggest draw.

I'd love to see the fight, however the fight is pointless:

GGG has been at 160 since he turned pro in 2006. At 154, he WILL be drained, and will lose his power and stamina.

At 160, this is a pointless fight for Floyd. He's just not that big.

I'd rather see Mayweather-Khan. That fight is more intriguing.

If not then Floyd fights a softy a at 154 if he plans to go for 50, Hands down it's Golovkin, great white hype and Floyd's 59 fight and a real threat he stills another hundred million easy. If I can think this Haymon is draw up the blue print already. Serious thoughts only.
HBO will block the fight, for the simple reason that Floyd/Showtime have no real incentive to go out of their way and split the money with HBO (Golovkin brings no money to the table, at the gate or on PPV).

HBO isn't going to stand for a 5/95 split of the broadcaster's fee, and Showtime/Mayweather have no real incentive to offer them anymore that that (could easily point to 5-6 other opponents who'd bring the same event as Mayweather-Golovkin).

He's not getting a good opponent at 160 next so let's see if he can make 154. If he can make weight and is effective there it could open a lot of doors.

Golovkin v Clottey at 154, optional rematch clause for Golovkin at 160.
Didn't we see in the news (few days ago), that GGG is training in order to make 154? I think I saw it on this web page...
