Not the same thing. HBO are producing a program and ensuring that the 'stars' of that program do not jump to another network or program. No different to NBC giving the stars of Big **** Theory big deals. The deals PBC has with their various networks is more like syndication where the network has little to no say over the content of the program. They are simply selling air time and the content producer can use it as they see fit.

Wow, so it looks like Haymon has been the rock and now Peter Nelson and / or HBO are becoming the hard place. Bob needs to find a way to gain some of that tv time from other networks because if he develops serious issues with HBO he can only go to tru tv. Haymon has everyone else and Bob himself drove the nail in the coffin with Showtime himself.

I am curious to see if they have any truly damming evidence against Haymon. I think Bob is a salacious crook in his own right, but I respect a promoter for trying to save his company from oblivion. He could have went to Haymon and tried to work out a mutually beneficial deal, but I guess the egos are far too large for that.

Yes, that's true. But because it is THEIR network, that rule can suddenly change swiftly. Especially if the program gets more lucrative, then you'll see the network begin to exercise control.

HBO celebrated 40 years of boxing broadcasts on Saturday along with their 1000th and 1001st fights. I don't think they will start to change their way of doing boxing business any time soon. It seems to be working just fine for them.

I saw a guy comparing bobs (200m+) networth with haymon (15m+)... like if haymon pays fighters form his pocket like bob does.... Haymon pays fighters through investors... bunch of clueless casuals.

You would have to be ****** to believe Al is not worth at least a hundred million maybe 3. This guys is smart wicked smart. He has money from the 80's locked away or offshore or in a blind trust. Let's be real a lot ppl hate Haymon bc he's black. In three years once Richard get his foot in the ground at Mayweather promotions. It's over for the competition. They don't have to trump there hand or do anything crazy. All the air time is paid for. So they can take there time build up there fighters and brand. Big fights wont be on ppv any more. Car company's new movies and beer will be advertised during breaks in the action. Top rank golden boy and HBO tried to screw Haymon and it back fired. I don't know what this guy does but he has power and when you got that kind of power and money behind. You have friends that make stuff like this go away. Top rank and golden boy are gonna lose all their fighters to haymon and if you have the best fighters fighting on tv all the time for free you win.

Most fighters are not very smart and lack schooling and common sense. haymon thinks for his boxers then puts them in the fields err ring.

thats exactly what all promoters do thats the most horrible explanation i have ever heard. top rank does not work with showtime and top rank and gbp have been stealing fighters for years canelo is a big one
