As a manager he's doing his job, he's getting his fighters big money for minimal risk but as a (de facto) promoter he's failing miserably, the public is turning off.

It's a shame because he had a chance to do something. Even if the TR/GBP lawsuits fail, where does PBC go? this shit is not good viewing and it simply can't succeed if it's not good.
weebler its been 6 months. He may sign new fighters in the future and might develop fighters to the point they get a following.

It isn't perfect, no question. But you act like there can be no growth or improvement.

I think that fight was made already and HBO had announced it so they didn't want to screw Ward, one of their fighters.

Again, I get HBO not wanting to help a competitor beat them. That makes sense.

I just don' get why people expect Haymon to just let HBO determine his fate when if they were in his shoes they'd fight back just like Haymon.

I'm saying there needs to be improvement. See my edit re. Schaefer.

He could sign more fighters but he really doesn't need to sign any more at this point, he's got a load of top fighters, they just need to fight one another. No more Wilder-Molinas and Stevenson-Bikas for exorbitant purses, no one wants to see that shit.

Fighters have a say in all of this and this is where I think a lot of these Lawsuits will fall short. Their Lawsuits are based purely on assumptions, theories and speculations. Good Luck trying to PROVE all of this in Court!

The bigger fights are coming eventually, they have multiple year contracts with networks they have to spread this thing out but eventually you will start to get the big fights.

HBO not giving you anything either but exciting mismatches so that your favorite fighter can score an impressive KO against a Average or Below Average Fighter. To make things worse, that is on a Paid Channel. PBC is FREE!

The FIGHTERS are the one choosing Haymon and that is what this Lawsuit is about IMO, Promoters want to take away a BETTER OPTIONS as far as Money and TV Exposure away to force fighters to stay with them.

If THE FIGHTERS get called to testify as far as how Haymon does business and they're all in support of it...Then What?

idk how ppl can say no growth....first nbc then cbs then spike then abc/espn and now fox sports one.....hes treating the game like a rapper trynna put his name out there, flood the market with his product until a few big sources see enough value to take the risk, and then feed his best product to it. and we've gotten matchups like

                quillin vs lee
                dsg vs peterson
                thurman vs guerrero
                dirrell vs degale
                omar vs bruns
                lopez vs berto
                porter vs broner

with rances spence brown and more young talent being shown. all of sudden its bad that fighters are making money that promoters don't wanna see them making bc guys like rios was only getting 700k while porter made a cool 1 million.....give it a break. I've never seen people more angry to pay for fights....when they complained about ppv fights being expensive and will continue to rise in prices along with hbo and other cable networks.

The purses do not matter. Yes, Stevenson bika was not a great fight. But you wouldn't condemn HBO because of Kov v Caparello or Manny v ALgieiri, so I think its out of place here.

We all want better fights, but great fights are built over time. Just had Broner v Porter. It looks like LSC v Mares is going in August so that is at least moving forward in the right direction.

i just about enjoyed them all as much as what hbo and showtime gave us, i watch all the fights, heck i even turned down free tickets algieiri vs khan but ended up watching it in the crib. but those were all interesting matchups going in.
