I'm not on Twitter or have an ESPN log-in, from which to get the instant alert when Dan Rafael makes a post, which you seemingly do, lol.
Since my life doesn't revolve around boxing all day and all night, I apparently missed the official public announcement of the fight by Mr Dan Rafael.
enjoy that one
But okay, let's take Dan Rafael out of it.
Steve Kim wrote ON THIS WEBSITE about the likelihood of Walters/Marriaga on that date back on MAY 6th.
Multiple sources have advised BoxingScene.com that WBA featherweight titlist Nicholas Walters could be facing hard-punching Colombian Miguel Marriaga on June 13
But I'm sure you didn't see that report, either.
Or see any of the reports on other boxing sites announcing the fight was made.Comment

Has the number at near 24m homes. This **** is starting to tick me off now. will try and find the real number.
note: http://investors.cbscorporation.com/...Umc3Vic2lkPTU3
introduction to the CBS Corp 10k filed 2/23/15, for the 2014 fiscal year:
"At December 31, 2014, Showtime, The Movie Channel and Flix, in the aggregate, had approximately 76 million subscriptions in the U.S., certain U.S. territories and Bermuda" -pg I-6, under 'Showtime Networks'
not entirely sure how to attribute that for each channel, but I've purchased the Showtime package, have the Showtime channels and Flix, but I don't get The Movie Channel.
Split CBS's own number three ways and you're still looking at 25.3m homes per channelComment

What the **** is wrong with you people?
You want to go back to paying $50, $60, or $70 for a championship caliber fight? Well, you still can if you want, but I for one would sure as **** prefer to see good boxing matches for free.
Anyone that doesn't, and wants this venture to fail simply because Haymon is aligned with Mayweather is a complete cunt.
PBC have been putting on shows that have perfect judging, not a single botched score, and that have mostly been good, top level fights, even though there have been a few duds (but that is happening just as much on PPV's you pay $60 for!)...and it's all for free!!!
Why in the world would you, as a boxing fan of any type, want this to fail? You would have to be an absolute spastic of the worst kind to want free championship level boxing to fail and for rip off PPV of the same level, but at an extortionate cost to you, to prevail.
How ****** can you possibly get?Comment

However, Top Rank***8217;s lawsuit attempts to make a case that former portfolio manager Caldwell ***8220;played an active, complicit and indispensable role***8221; in the alleged monopolization scheme. It alleges that he met with TV broadcast executives on several occasions to discuss exclusivity agreements.
***8220;According to Caldwell, he explained to the broadcast executives ***8216;Here is why Waddell is behind this and involved,'***8221; the complaint stated. ***8220;Caldwell informed the executives that Waddell & Reed had pledged upward of $425 million from the $40 billion in Waddell & Reed***8217;s coffers to Haymon, which would allow (Haymon's boxing brand) to be self-sustaining (and operate at a significant loss) in the near term. By the Defendants***8217; own telling, it was Caldwell***8217;s active involvement on behalf of Waddell & Reed and Media Group Holdings that made Haymon***8217;s 'payola' scheme possible.***8221;
Caldwell resigned from Waddell & Reed on June 16, 2014, after 14 years with the company. He was supposed to have a two-year consulting contract with Waddell & Reed afterward, but the company canceled the consulting agreement only a few days later, offering no explanation.Comment

Staging bouts among top fighters, already a challenge, will now become increasingly difficult with the acrimony between boxing's biggest power players at a fever pitch. In the end, boxing loses with decisions like this.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Showtime_(TV_network)
21.3m homes in January 2012, ~22m homes by March 2013, and ~27.7m homes as of February 2015. If there was any other possible catalyst to drive near 6m homes to pick up Showtime just after Floyd signed with Showtime, I'd like to read it.
Beyond that, when Showtime signed Floyd to the 6-fight deal, they weren't just getting 6 PPV fights; they got all of the support programming featuring Mayweather (All Access, etc), they were able to air the fight replays on Showtime, and they also got all of the 'Mayweather Sweepstakes' fight cards (Canelo-Trout, Maidana-Broner, Porter-Brook, etc), in addition to having boxing's biggest star as the face of Showtime BoxingComment
