Mike vs Floyd Sr. ................not even close, Mike is far superior to Senior when it comes to training a young fighter! He's proven his value at the Olympic Training Center and in the neighborhoods where he's most needed.
Boxing trainers roam the area's that Senior hasn't been to unless its to cop some drugs!
The problem with Broner and Mike is they have become "Father & Son" and Son is not giving Dad proper respect. Bottom line this is 90% Broner fault and 10% to Mike for not bringing in an advisor that can inspire Broner and have a
"new" voice to hear!
Broner is trying to be Mayweather with hundreds of thousands instead of hunderds of millions. He fought like a punk against Porter but showed heart & guts against Madiana. Go figure, the kid hasn't grown up yet!

Broner has to stay with Stafford

Broner needs Stafford so he never develops and continues to lose. Broner losing is great for boxing and Great for America.

this is coming from a trainer that told his fight "broner" that you are fighting the wrong fight. and that was said around round 9.

You caught that too??? I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed that. Stafford sucks as a trainer. He didn't know what to say in the Maidana fight either.

What does having more street cred do with anything? Guy is just mad that what Floyd Sr said about his fighter is true. I feel Broner needs a more stern trainer, or change this "nobody can tell me anything" attitude. He acts like he is already up top but he clearly isn't. If getting whooped by Maidana and losing to Porter didn't humble him, who knows what will.

I agree with Sr., Broner doesn't take boxing seriously and he doesn't have someone to force him to do the things he's supposed to do, now back to the comment of Stafford that he makes guys like boxing instead of being on the street, which is true, but Broner is not a thug on the street anymore, he's a professional athlete that's getting paid millions of dollars to perform at a certain level, u have to be strict on him, u r not introducing him to boxing, he's been fighting all his life, take some freaking command and don't take no **** from the fighter.

Stafford is a yes man to Broner, I never felt any urgency in Stafford's voice, with a guy like Broner u have to be commanding and yell at him so that he does the right things, he's not mature enough to be allowed to do what he wants to do.

Can Sr. help him, absolutely, technically I feel that Sr. is a much better trainer than Stafford and he knows much more, that's just the way I see it, he can teach him how to use his jab more often, counter ur opponents jab, and move around the ring, things that Broner desperatley needs, Porter was throwing more jabs that Broner!

lso Sr. won't hestitate to yell at or curse out Broner in the gym and even in the ring, he used to yell at Dela Hoya who was the highest paid boxer in the world and never held back, even in the Hatton vs Pacquiao fight he was yelling at Hatton between rounds and even with Floyd he does the same, that's what a trainer should do.

Broner has gone as far as he can go with Stafford. Nobody cares about your street cred! Can you help your fighter grow, improve his skills and put together game plans to win fights?

There is ZERO improvement from fight to fight with Adrien. Either he makes a change now or he fades into obscurity.

About time these excessive huggers be called for what they really are -- one-dimensional fighters. They can't fight in close quarters. They want distance, distance, run, distance... They're basically aided by a ref who doesn't do his freaking job.

Please...when a kid has talent, it is obvious. It didn't take much to get him as far as Stafford got him because of his natural ability.

But now is where you prove your mettle as a coach/trainer...when the competition gets fierce.

Stafford has failed miserably.

I think Stafford did quite well with Broner. He built him up from scratch and made him a 3 division champ. The problem is that the success went to Broner's head and he stopped listening to his trainer. When you have the fighter telling his trainer to shut up between rounds, you can't blame the trainer.

Stafford's only fault is not getting Broner's ego and arrogance under control. You'd think the Maidana beating would have humbled him, but obviously it didn't.

Broner told Stafford to shut up? If that ain't a sign for a replacement, then I don't know what is.
