The problem with Broner and Mike is they have become "Father & Son" and Son is not giving Dad proper respect. Bottom line this is 90% Broner fault and 10% to Mike for not bringing in an advisor that can inspire Broner and have a
    "new" voice to hear!
Broner is trying to be Mayweather with hundreds of thousands instead of hunderds of millions. He fought like a punk against Porter but showed heart & guts against Madiana. Go figure, the kid hasn't grown up yet!

First of all, I wouldn't tout our Olympic squad to promote Stafford's training abilities. He hasn't done very well there. And besides, being a good amateur coach might not always translate into being a good professional boxing trainer. Secondly, Floyd Sr. developed the greatest boxing talent of this generation; enough said. Roger didn't start training Floyd until Sr. went to jail when Floyd was almost grown. Third, I respect the hell out of Stafford and other coaches that help these boys, but that's not the issue here. Stafford might be a noble guy, and a good trainer; but he's not doing Broner any favors. Like another poster said, Broner is regressing over his last few fights. Stafford should stop being selfish and acknowledge that Broner would probably benefit from a trainer/team change. However, that's got to be hard when he spent all this time developing him.

As crazy as Mayweather Sr. appears sometimes, he still knows his boxing.

Everyone knows Broner has ability, but it's not quite as good as a lot of people thought or were made to believe but thats alright, not everyone can be elite but he can still be a good world level fighter with the right trainer. Not also the right trainer but the right lifestyle. So essentially he would have to make huge adjustments in his life from now. Hard to see happening isn't it?

He doesn't live the life of a boxer and there has been many boxers a lot more talented than Broner who's lifestyle has ruined their boxing careers so it will most certainly do the same to him.

I think he loves the status and not the work but its very easy to be quickly forgotten in todays world. When the status isn't there anymore, the money isn't rolling in like it did and nobody gives a damn about him anymore, maybe then he'll realise people like Mayweather Sr. weren't saying these things just for the sake of an attack. They're saying it because it's the truth.

Broner wants the success and accolades of Floyd, but he doesn't want to put the work in to be as good as Floyd.

mike stafford basically meant that floyd sr has boxers/fighters coming to him in his gym and asking to be trained, mike had to go and fetch troubled kids from the streets who were up to no good and forced them/educated them to train and become boxers... that's what he meant.
