Taking a kid in with 0 boxing background and building them up through amateurs up to a World champ means you know a thing or two. How many did Roach build from scratch?
Looking from outside in may be I think Stafford's attitude towards Broner needs to change.Last edited by Box-Office; 07-01-2015, 06:07 AM.Comment

I agree with Sr., Broner doesn't take boxing seriously and he doesn't have someone to force him to do the things he's supposed to do, now back to the comment of Stafford that he makes guys like boxing instead of being on the street, which is true, but Broner is not a thug on the street anymore, he's a professional athlete that's getting paid millions of dollars to perform at a certain level, u have to be strict on him, u r not introducing him to boxing, he's been fighting all his life, take some freaking command and don't take no **** from the fighter.
Stafford is a yes man to Broner, I never felt any urgency in Stafford's voice, with a guy like Broner u have to be commanding and yell at him so that he does the right things, he's not mature enough to be allowed to do what he wants to do.
Can Sr. help him, absolutely, technically I feel that Sr. is a much better trainer than Stafford and he knows much more, that's just the way I see it, he can teach him how to use his jab more often, counter ur opponents jab, and move around the ring, things that Broner desperatley needs, Porter was throwing more jabs that Broner!
A
lso Sr. won't hestitate to yell at or curse out Broner in the gym and even in the ring, he used to yell at Dela Hoya who was the highest paid boxer in the world and never held back, even in the Hatton vs Pacquiao fight he was yelling at Hatton between rounds and even with Floyd he does the same, that's what a trainer should do.Comment

Absolutely, I don't think there were real shots fired from Stafford, plus what he said is not true with Floyd sr nd jr, Sr. started Jr. off and taught him not only how to fight but to be discplined and dedicated to the sport, which is something that stayed with him till now and kept him on top for all these years, Floyd won the nationals with his dad and won his first world title with his dad, so he played a major role in Floyd's development as a fighter, Floyd came back to the basics more after his dad started training him again and his defense was much better, so Sr. knows his stuff and he damn sure developed a fighter from scratch, there's a new kid training with Sr. his name is Tabiti, I can see this kid going places.Comment

Bronner's coach was not referring to mayweather critisizing bronner....did anyone read the whole few paragraphs? lol
He is referring to Flyd seniors next statement about Bronner needing to come to him to really learn how to box. People used to do this all the time in the martial arts....they try to steal students. Coach Mike is absolutely right on this account: what talent has floyd senior developed outside of his son? And personally I think Roger has a lot to do with Floyd's talentt....
floyd isn't being honest to help Bronner, he is trying to steal Bronner as a fighter so he can capitolize financially, like he did for Hatton.Comment

that was a funny commentSadly that might have been the smartest thing Sr has ever said. Broker wants to be a world class athlete but gains forty pounds between fights. You could tell he was exhausted the whole fight against porter.
Brokers trainer was wrong though because Floyd Sr. Also goes to the hood worth the guns and crack dealers although not to pick up fighters, strictly to buy crackComment
