What's the problem with the Pbc so far? And how to fix it?

Take you for example. You posted, "i don't even watch PBC. i DVR that crap and go through it if the card ends up being reported to be decent. it's hardly even boxing."

Now, if the same card was on a WCB or BAD show, you would probably watch it, not DVR it and watch it based on media reports or what others have said about it.

I have never seen you mention not watching BAD or WCB shows, you usually talk about not watching specific boxers. Maybe you have and I missed it.

I DVR most of the fights these days. i watch probably 25% of the boxing i did a year ago. the sport is going downhill.

i didn't buy pacquiao - algieiri, for example.

Neither am I. Pointing out that posters have become "channel loyal" is not defending Haymon or PBC. I expect that from trolls and idiots, not from you.

OK, like I said you may have done this and I just missed it.

PBC is trying some things which I as a long time fan do not like. I am not a big fan of the production. But if a poster lets the production take precedence over the fight, that seems utterly ******.

It's like reading one of Fat Dan's chats and having people constantly complain about HBO's new graphics. Do graphics make a fight worse or better? No.

PBC definitely needs to make some improvements in production and needs more "boxing people" involved. They need to develop talent as well.

It's been 6 months. Is that enough time to write this off?

The whole 'look', commentary, ect is awful. It kind of puts a downer on things.
But if the fights are good then you can look past that. The thing is..the match making is poor.

The notion that something is good, just because it's free is nonsense.

People want to see any possible match be made. With PBC, this is not possible.

That said, Top Rank or Golden Boy are no better, PBC are just on a grander scale.

                I was thinking about something:

Could ESPN, which works with PBC and HBO, bridge the gap and put on fights featuring TR/HBO boxers and PBC guys?

not really, and those are some of their best matches. they've had some genuine garbage.

On paper they have had some pretty good matchups but for some reason they haven't produced some real entertaining fights, save for a few.

I thought the Khan-Algieri was very good, one of their best so far.
