Khan has had a history of dismissing Brook (who has called out Amir for years now), but looked to have changed his tune once Brook won a title by beating Shawn Porter. After that fight, Amir actually began to acknowledge Brook as a legitimate opponent for himself, but that acknowledgement only lasted a short while. In an interview with ITV, Amir Khan is back to dismissing a Brook as a possible opponent for the time being.

"There's not point in me fighting him just yet, I mean Kell Brook is not on the same level as Amir Khan at the moment. Look, he'll get there one day, and obviously he's begging for the fight against me, but like I said, I'm at a different level where I want to fight the elite level of boxing, I want to fight the biggest names of boxing...My name's getting mentioned between the likes of Manny Pacquiao, Mayweather, Miguel Cotto now. When Manny Pacquiao, Mayweather were asked who Kell Brook is they said they don't know who Kell Brook is, so I think that says it all."

No one has still come up with a reason as to why Kell isn't the least bit lucky, dude is still riding off the 1 live body he beat in his whole career.
I think he's been unlucky at times. He was never given the same promotional backing as Khan but he also was undisciplined in the early part of his career which is his own fault.

He's matured since and beat Porter away from home for the belt. Then got stabbed (wouldn't call that lucky). He's come back and fought 2 fights in less than 8 weeks - one which was a mandatory. Now he's fighting the biggest name opponent available. Don't see what's supposedly "lucky" about this.

The strategy with Brook was to work him into the mandatory position for the IBF. If you consider the path to the title full of sub-standard fighters, then your issue is with the governing body.

Brook pretty much lost a year when the scheduled title fight was called off with Alexander twice.

The marquee fights will happen with Brook in the next 12-18 months, his promoters have been pretty clear with their intentions for him.

I really don't think he is holding the belt "Hostage", he is trying to fight Khan afterall.. Love to see that fight but with TBE dangling in front of him I doubt he would fight Brook now. What Brook needs to do is take better fights in the mean time.

You're too blind to see how you're a Special K fanboy, the same way *****s and *******s/khantards are.

A lot of boxers beat others away from Home, it's not much of a big deal unless you beat Wlad or Floyd on points on their respective soil.

Khan has beaten Malignaggi, Alexander, Algieri and Collazo on their soil but just not for a belt, it really isn't as special as you think then again everything is special when you're a special kell fanboy.

He's fought too much lesser opponents as a World Champion, don't care if both were within a week or on the same night, still wouldn't impress me. But I guess it's special for you...

Also about the stabbing, strange circumstance leading to that lol.

Refer to my OP on why he is lucky as hell, it should be the go to for what has Kell done other than beat Porter.
