No such thing as a weight drained 23 yr old especially when you factor in that Canelo weighed in at 153 against Trout five months earlier.

Had GGG fought Froch after the Groves fight, I would give him more credit.
Didn't know there was an age limit to when people could be weight drained. Not saying if he was or not, just the fact you said such a statement is one of the ******est posts I've seen in awhile.

I'd hope he's finally a MW once he contests for that lineal MW belt. As not making SWW for near 2 years somehow doesn't count

You realize Floyd is the REIGNING, LINEAL, UNIFIED, 2x SWW champ? That he's been holding SWW belt for 3 years +? Sounds like a great scalp at SWW, unless he's the most disgraceful paper champ ever
While I would love to see the fight, wouldn't it be better and more impressive if GGG went up to 168, like Floyd did at going up to 154, then coming down to 154?

Have you ever been impressed with a fighter going down in weight and beating the best in that class?

And you should fix your credulity detector. Here's Froch to set you straight:

"It was tongue in cheek back then. I was being a bit cheeky and you can take those comments with a pinch of salt. What I will say though is this guy can ****ing punch: he's dangerous and if he can be avoided we'll avoid him. I'll stand by that and I don't give a ****"

Floyd fans have been telling us for years, going down is way harder than going up. So of course it'd be impressive, esp vs a guy with Floyds credentials at SWW

                  Is this for real?

                  Canelo!!

GGG looks good but has a crappy crappy resume.

No they haven't. But I get it, you think GGG beats Floyd so you want him to go down to 154 and then when Floyd wins you can say GGG was drained. win -win for you.

Most great fighters go up in weight to win. I guess GGG isn't a great fighter to you.

It was an interview in boxing news paper edition, someone had posted a screenshot here (Evil Abed?). You can also find the quotes on the boxrec UK board, back from when it came out
