Lara would be a good opponent for GGG, I understand the high risk low reward factor but GGG has the tools to beat Lara imo. Lara is ready willing and able to fight GGG.
Who has the better resume Canelo or GGG?

Froch would still be excellent, never mind last year when they approached him after Chavez backed down. That was couple of month after Frochs most high profile win. He was p4p and easily #1 active smw. May weather would also be a great win, lineal SWW champ and a guy that embarrassed Canelo. Unless you think that one doesn't count due to the catchweight, if Canelo was drained?GGG's resume is severly lacking in the elite opponent department. Canelo resume's is definitely superior and is about to widen the gap after stepping in the ring with Cotto. Furthermore, GGG chasing semi-retired Froch, welterweight Mayweather and other smaller opponents, does nothing for his legacy.Comment

Hypothetically, let's say GGG moves up in weight and beats Ward (I don't see him beating Dre) he would then surpass Canelo's resume easily imo. The middleweight division stinks. It's too bad GGG wasn't around when guys like Williams, Martinez, and Pavlik were doing their thing @ middleweight.Comment

Too bad the Haymon HBO split makes it impossible. But remember Lara's manager saying he'll contact Gggs people after Delvin. He got called on it, still nothing. How bad does he want that beating then?Comment

Dam didn't know the hate on GGG was this real. Everyday GGG's resume gets weaker and weaker. Alvarez beat Lara and Trout, the former was not exactly witout controversy. Surprised that they are not at least considered equal in the eyes of NSB, if not a favorite for GGG.
I recall a thread where people discussed top 10 p4p lists and I don't recall many of y'all putting Alvarez > GGG then...Comment

In all honesty, GGG is probably the best opponent that Lara can hope to get. It's unfortunate for him that the dispute between networks likely eradicates this fight.Comment
