What's crazy about this "fighting fighters in their prime" is that Shawn Porter would NOT be fighting Floyd in HIS prime. Floyd turned 35 in February 2012. Since then he's fought Miguel Cotto, Robert Guerrero, Saul "Canelo" Alvarez, Marcos Maidana, and Manny Pacquiao. Every one of those fighters held a title, and every last one of them were YOUNGER than Floyd! To put it into some kind of perspective, Floyd fought Oscar when Oscar was 34. Floyd WON! Canelo fought Floyd when Floyd was 36. Floyd WON! For these young cats to say "Floyd won't fight a fighter in their prime," is ridiculous because they are not fighting Floyd "in his prime!"

I seen a video a few years ago where ellerbe is saying the same thing. He basically says he doesn't fight black fighters cause they don't sell PPV as good. I think it was an esnews vid, not sure though.

It's becoming silly now, I understand why they all want to fight TBE but some of the things they all come out with are borderline ridiculous sometimes.

LOL "Black foes in prime" = biggest group of hype jobs in the history of boxing...do I need to go down the list?

I can just point out some recent ones:

            1. Andre Berto
            2. Adrian Broner
            3. Terrence Crawford
            4. Devon Alexander
            5. Shawn Porter (got schooled by Brook whose beaten nobody)

No need to get racial Kenny...

Floyd avoids all foes in their prime:

              1. Cotto
              2. Pacquiao
              3. Paul Williams
              4. Sergio Martinez
              5. Winky Wright
              Goes on and on...

              Triple G currently...

a lot of black people think like that. that blackness brings certain characteristics due to biology. it's textbook racism but you hear this crap all the time in every sport.

look at the nba draft, first white guy that gets picked, black analysts like jalen role, steven a smith, michael wilbon laugh and roll their eyes.

                shameless racism that goes unchecked

I agree they aren't fighting Floyd in his prime...but what's his prime? His prime wasn't when he got a gift against Castillo? It wasn't against De La Hoya was it? Tbh, Floyd seems better to me since the Marquez fight than he did before that...

I really can't think of when his prime was (I'm really stumped on this question), but I find it hard to believe his prime was after he turned 35. Let me ask you: What other fighter can be considered in their prime after age 35? Marquez? B-Hop? What other athlete can we say are in their prime after age 35? Brady? Manning? Tiger? Kobe? Jordan? Bonds? Jeter?

Floyd has never fought an Indian fighter in his prime! That's why he's ducking Khan!
