Would be a different story if GGG was black.
Get outta here with that tired idiotic excuse. His resume is lacking.

Based on what, your opinion. GGG has beaten 7 top ten fighters, Geale, Macklin, Proska, Stevens, Rubio, Murray, and Rosado. His resume looks fine to me.

These same people pretend Super Middle weight is some deep division but it simply isn't.

And it wasn't 5 years ago when Ward won the Super Six. Just cause you put a bunch of guys in a tourney doesn't mean it's a great division. Good but not great.

Three of the Super Six members didn't even fight in the division.

Froch is tough but lets be honest he's a B fighter at best. Abraham was ranked top ten after one fight against an unranked fighter. Kessler was dominated by Calzaghe. Ward was a nobody and Dirrel beat nobody.

And now Abraham is #1 in the division and still has only beaten one ranked fighter in the division.
So GGG should have no problem fighting there then right

          Ward

MW world level fighters in the division (counting top 5):

          Cotto

          Quillin
          Lemeuix
          Ndam/Macklin/Geale

          Which looks better?
Ward is the only world level fighter in SMW. Froch is basically retired. DeGale, Abraham and Groves are top SMW fighters, they're not world level.

In MW you have two world level fighters, GGG and Cotto, plus maybe Canelo. The rest is negligible.

So, answering to your question, MW have 3 active world level fighters while SMW has only one.

          MW looks and is better.

Murray was the only decent name out of that list. @ Rosado. You mean the guy who came up from 154 that wasn't ranked at middleweight, that Rosado? GGG is a good fighter man, no need to try and gas up something we all know isn't that impressive. His skills are impressive enough.

So Geale isn't a good fighter, the guy was ranked #2 in the division when GGG fought him.

So a guy ranked #2 out of thousands of middleweights isn't good?

This isn't even about GGG, stop ****ting on the warriors of the sport because they don't perform to your standards.

Man, stop acting like MW is a loaded division because it isn't. Geale is an ok fighter, that's it. He just lost to Miguel freaking Cotto, a guy that has no business at middleweight! I'm not crapping on fighters, I'm just not a fanboy that has to build up fighters into something they aren't to try and make a fighter I like look better. I call it how it is. As i've said, I think GGG is a great fighter, but his resume isn't. That's not a knock on GGG. The good fighters in his division are avoiding him, but that doesn't mean I have to elevate the ones that are just ok so GGG looks better. That's what fanboys do bro. Stop it.

p.s. I don't agree with the premise of using amateur credentials to call one division better than the other.
Is the competition level somehow better in the Olympics than at the Worlds? It's all about the draw and political setup of the hosting country.
