Imagine Khan got put on ***** street by Vargas

Vargas has been pursuing a one-punch KO ever since he heard about the talk of a possible Pacquiao fight. He started applying it in the De Marco fight and obviously with some tips he took from Roy Jones. (You can re-view the fight on YT if you want.) He resumed the same stance in the Bradley fight, ie, moving backwards... then bam he finally got it, except that he wasted a lot of time and may have ruined his trainer's game plan.Comment

I didn't say he never gets hurtDropped twice by Holt. Almost died against Provo. Admitted to seeing stars against Pacquaio. Now rocked to his boots by Jessie Vargas. But ok, he never gets hurt.
It's not really about Khan, it's that most other fighters would get ridiculed for being put on ***** street by a guy with 9 stoppages and then getting saved at the 10 second clapper by the ref.
We all know what you'd be saying if that happened in a British ring cos you're a slimey hypocrite.
bradley has already shown to have a good chin. Getting rocked by a guy who put everything he had into isn't a big deal

Bradley went down on his face TWICE, remember the one the ref didn't count?Comment

Bradley gets the pass on here for some odd reason
Luckiest boxer ever, especially at 147
Imagine if Maidana had landed a similar punch on Floyd and the fight was stopped in that fashion, people would never let go of itLast edited by FrankieBruno; 06-30-2015, 12:11 PM.Comment

and i dont think this thread is about how good Khans chin is
(cuz we all know it isnt good)
but rather the many passes Tim gets on here.Comment

It's all about how things line up. Vargas had footwork, accuracy, timing, build-up, and of course power behind that one shot. And he followed through the punch.
A rather perfect punch.
Pretty sure if those circumstances lined up for Maidana he knocks out anybody. Or at least gives them Bambi legs for the next round.Comment

tim bradley does not have an iron chin. he's got very good powers of recovery, but he can be hurt. he wobbles around when he's hurt.
his chin is clearly better than khan's, who has been out on his feet and off of them.Comment

It depends on a number of factors to judge a chin but that shot was a bomb. He leaned into it followed by bradley running into his hand. Thats the type of timed shot that put paul williams to bed against martinez. Khans chin is bad because he tends to go down from ok punches. That shot that diaz dropped him with didnt stand out as any thing other than a decent shot. There was no whiplash or anything of that nature. A bomb is like that shot that garcia got hit with from matthyse. Take out matthyse and put anyone else in and it still would have been a devastating shot that sent garcias mouthpiece flying.Last edited by Shogunofharlem1; 06-30-2015, 03:53 PM.Comment
