Nah, Bradley would have saw it out. He was rocked badly, but time was on his side.

The problem for me is this is the same 67 year old ref who handed Bradley the win vs Provodnikov because he called a blatant knockdown a slip, that point gave Bradley the W instead of a draw (I personally thought Provodnikov won). He then ends a fight 10 seconds early when Bradley is badly hurt...can't be making those errors.

That was a crazy ending, swing of emotions for both sides. The way he backed up Vargas and waved his arms almost looked like he was stopping the fight. At least the right man won but in reality, there are no winners in this fight, both of them looked sub-par.

Vargas, you had no shot, you got schooled and the robbery wasn't in effect this time because you were the B-side

After losing the majority of the rounds, Vargas managed to badly hurt Bradley in the final minute of the fight. As he went after Bradley with an aggressive attempt to finish him off, referee Pat Russell jumped between to prevent Vargas from throwing further punches and raised his hands to wave off the action.

Aggressive my a*s - he couldn't land one punch after the first hurtful punch, then he got into a hug fest.

Yeah.........good luck with all that, Bradley whooped this guy for 11.95 rounds. No rematch needed.

... Because of the referee's huge error, this fight should be ruled a "No Contest"...

i think a lot about how difficult it is to ref a boxing match at this level. these guys move fast! you need to make tough judgements instantly. people only notice your mistakes.

nobody makes a thread saying, "that ref did a hell of a job last night!"

i don't think we should ignore that those two put on a good show. vargas hasn't always been a likeable fighter in the past. his style can be boring. it meshed well with bradley. that was a good fight. i'll probably watch it again.

The ref screwed up big time but I don't think vargas had enough time to finish Bradley.

I think its obvious that Bradley would have survived. However, the ref fcuked up royally.

The chances are likely that Bradley would have survived, but it's impossible to say he would have. We don't know what would have happened.

                      So Varags should be furious.
